The space is set up to be totally private, there is a separate side entrance, the picture on the website shows the slate path I recently installed to enable you to enjoy total anonymity or if you prefer, you're welcome to use the front entrance. At the bottom left of this paragraph you will see "more" typed in red, please click on that and read the entire description before you book. . A perk I didn't realize would come with my airbnb guests is: Some of you are very sociable and willing to share stories of your lives and the amazing places you've been. If you're staying for a few days and you'd like a private dinner, you're welcome to use the kitchen and dining room. I'm totally blown away with my guests and I want your space to be totally yours when you arrive. I have to have the time in between guests to make it a haven for you so please stick to the check in/out times listed. I'm child friendly but the house is not, too much glass, sorry and only accommodates 2 adults. The outside garden is the perfect place to relax with squirrels and birds for company, they do their part to make this space as close to perfect as possible. Please let me know when you first contact me, if you'd prefer hello when checking in or just leave the key under the mat out back.
There is a washer and dryer, also a large park across the street for walking a small dog if you travel with your pet. The park has two tennis courts, a lake, Little League Baseball games, and an oval track for running laps and is about 100 yards from your front door. There is also a community pool which is seldom used but nicely maintained about 400' from your door. A vegetable market about a 1 1/2 blks, I walk there often, they have the best produce. A family owned restaurant "Gino's" is just around the corner from the mkt. Moderate price though only open in the evening. Iavaroni's the 2nd best steak restaurant (Bern's being the best) in Tampa is about a mile from here, easily walkable.
Interaction with Guests
You may use this vacation spot in total privacy, it's set up to be self contained, however you may enjoy the entire downstairs as almost entirely yours as I have a full apt. upstairs where I spend the majority of my time, you will see me on the computer upstairs in the open loft or in the kitchen where you're welcome to join in, but it's up to you how much socializing you want.
We are 2 minutes from Dale Mabry, one of Tampa's main streets. Many restaurants and stores line this avenue and we are minutes away from the airport and International Mall, one of Florida"s high end malls. Wonderful shopping and restaurants. 10 minutes from Busch Gardens and the Interstate to take you to other Florida attractions. 10 minutes to downtown and Ybor.
There is a bus stop at the corner of Busch and Armenia, though a car comes in handy. If you are using this for a stay in vacation and only occasionally need to get to the store or a restaurant , we will be glad to take you.
Other Things to Note
We have cats and I wouldn't recommend anyone with allergies booking this. The cats don't come in your room, but may wonder through the garden though they are skittish around people and probably won't be in the garden during your visit. I am obsessively clean, feed them upstairs, their litter box is also located upstairs behind closed doors in a bathroom with an air ventilator and maniacally maintained.
No smoking except outside and be happy come with a good attitude and if you have issues for goodness sake let me know, they can be remedied. I want my guests to be comfortable during their stay.
Private Bathroom has been recently updated with Granite countertops and a vessel sink , the faucet is unique, we think it's very Star Trekkie and hope you enjoy using it, there is a tub and shower also.
Lynne was fabulous. She had availability last minute and I'm so glad I booked her place. The room was peaceful and quiet. The back patio was very nice. Location is ideal for Tampa and under 30 min from everything. Lynne cooked me a great omlette my last morning and I enjoyed chatting with her.
What a great, relaxing time with Lynne! We only stayed with her one night, but would happily stay longer. Booking was fairly last minute, and was very easy to communicate with her before arriving. The location is very close to Busch Gardens which was nice for us-probably not the most convenient spot for a 'beach weekend'-but that was not us.
A very warm welcome from her...and her cats. Very relaxing outdoor area where we enjoyed the bottle of wine and cheese plate that was in the in-room fridge for us. Plenty of clean toiletries available, and lots of coffee/tea supplies available in-room. We had great conversation about everything 'artsy' over a breakfast of warm chocolate croissants and coffee before we left in the morning.
Overall great experience-SO much more comfortable than any hotel would be. Felt just like staying in a relatives house that was looking forward to us coming. Would highly recommend for anyone looking in the area.
Lynne was the perfect host! Generous, kind and welcoming to humans and pets alike. There was fresh fruit and cheese waiting in the fridge along with a bottle of wine. Lynne really made us feel at home in our space which had a private entrance through the gorgeous backyard patio as well as one through the main door of the house. We truly felt spoiled by the experience and would highly recommend her place when in Tampa!
Thank you for bringing your good spirits and laughter into my home, I love people who bring their pets, everyone has such a good time. Hades was a wonderful addition to this house. You're welcome and encouraged to come back anytime.
Hope the rest of the trip was as "cool" as you three.
Lynne was an awesome host. The place was clean and very inviting. The location is close to Busch Gardens, and 15-20min drive from Tampa Bay Brewing Co . As long as you don't mind the three cats it's a great place to stay. We would definitely stay with Lynne again in future.
Lynn was the most gracious host you can imagine.
Our suite was ready for us when we arrived, and we were treated to lovely cheese and fruits, chocolate and wine. The suite has a lovely enclosed patio on the other side of the sliding glass doors.
Location is excellent. It is near everything you ight desire.
Lynn was a lot of fun to talk to, and we (Berta, Cotton (maltese) and I had a great time
What can I say about perfect guests, always happy and shared their wonderful dog, Cotton with me. They shared stories over coffee and I'm still laughing about their trip to Tampa. Thank you Berta and Michael and you too, Cotton. I hope I see you next year for Uncle Norberto's Birthday Party.
This was our first experience with airbnb and it was a very positive one.
Lynne offered us accommodation at very short notice - literally less than 24 hours. We selected her based on her positive reviews and the location of her property.
Lynne is a wonderfully warm and gracious person who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. She was helpful with suggestions since we are relocating to Tampa and was always available to offer advice and assistance but at the same time provided us with privacy.
I can only endorse what other reviewers have said about her. You will feel welcome at her house and the accommodation will be clean, comfortable and welcoming. She had a fridge stacked with cheeses, snacks and there was a bottle of wine awaiting us. She also had a hot snack available for us as we arrived!
The morning of our departure, she offered us breakfast - made an awesome omelette!
All in all, a great experience for first timers using this service!
This was the nicest review I've ever received, you mentioned all the extras and didn't mention any of the flaws. I feel like I just got a 4 star Michelin review. Krishna, you are so kind and calming, I know you left a lot of sad patients when you retired, a loss to the medical profession. If it weren't for airbnb, I wouldn't have had a chance to meet you two overachiever's and that would have been a personal loss. I so enjoyed our conversation over breakfast. I am mentally conceptualizing the perfect home for you and I hope you find it and move to Tampa soon. Again, many thanks
Lynne is amazing! The room and the "service" were perfect! She has a natural talent and pleasure of leaving her guests very confortable :) There are all kind of snacks (even a wine botle!), a lot of towels and a beautiful view from her nice backyard! Everything was very clean and organized and she was always ready to have a nice conversation or give good tips of what to do in Tampa.
It was a great experience and for sure my husband and I would be there again if we go one more time to Tampa ;)
Thank you very much, Lynne!
About the Host, Lynne
I'm experiencing a rebirth through my airbnb guests, each one so interesting and well traveled. I've been in all the US states and surrounding countries but never Europe and now Europe comes to me. I've been lucky to have skied in all the western resorts and I Sky-dived for 5 years in my youth. Now I stay at home with my cats and wait for exciting travelers to come and visit. I'm also an avid reader and love offbeat movies. So come and share your stories with me.
