Very convenient location and good overall experience. Flat is small but has everything you need when you don't intend to spend too much time chilling in. We've had difficulties receiving the guidelines and finding the keys, which was a quite troublesome and made us feel like our arrivl was not well prepared, but Jennifer found a solution before it started to get really annoying. Cleanliness ok.
We did not actually stay in this location. There was a glitch on the address on the booking and the actual address of the apartment, so the host was very understanding and have given a full refund. Jennifer was very responsive and understanding and I would certainly stay again.
I have to leave this because I think this place is not suitable for normal accommodation. Nothing wrong with the room but crazy neighbors.
Location is amazing. You can walk to one of the must-to-go spot Shibuya. Many restaurants and shops around the area. Inside the room is kept clean and well equipped.
The problem is the structure of the old Japanese building and crazy neighbors. Here is what happened;
My friend and I arrived the room around 3pm in the afternoon. There was a knock on the door and an old lady and a man in his mid 50 were standing there. They asked me how long we were staying there with a tone of voice that I could easily tell they are not welcoming us... They told me that the place is not a hotel, is an apartment, they told me to be quiet.
I am Japanese and understood the message. I told them we have no intention to make loud noises, and we will be out of the room most of the time anyway.
When we left the room that day, they came out on the street and stared at us and talking something to themselves. I ignored their attention. That night we came back around midnight. Went up the old squeaky stairs slowly not to make much noise. Went inside the room and took shower.
The lady and the man rushed up to our room and banged our door. I couldn't get the door right away as I was in the shower room. My friend, a girl from Italy, does not speak Japanese and was scared to open the door. When I came out from the shower they were shouting and telling us to be quiet. I didn't open the door, then they pushed some kind of flash light against smoked window by the entrance trying to lit inside the room. There were few different voices outside and we were scared to open the door. After a while they gave up and went away.
They came back and knocked on our door few more times during our stay. We were scared and annoyed everyday and had to sneak out of the room to go sight seeing, so that they won't wait for us on the street.
Problem. They are obviously being annoyed by the guests who stay at this accommodation. I assume lot of us are foreigners and don't fully understand what they are trying to communicate, and that frustrates them for long time. They are more victims than we were.
This accommodation is NOT suitable for renting out or at least
the owner, Jennifer, should advertises this problem well in the description and warn the guests.
We were party of two people. I cannot imagine how terrible it would be if you stay there with family...
Jennifer was very responsive and accomodating to our last minute request. Her place is a stone's throw from Roppongi night life and transportation options, but is on a quiet side street with a beautiful and serene view of a local cemetery. Jennifer was very professional and left good details of how to access the property. She also provides a portable Wi-Fi device, which comes in very handy for maintaining contact while exploring the city. The place would be the ideal side for a couple, but also fit 3 people. Overall great experience.
