Very welcome. It's like coming home. I could not have asked for a better host. Carl really cares about us and has tons of advice on dealing with everything from stains on clothes to the best way to get somewhere, etc. She loves to cook and also to get us special things to eat or drink. The location is ideal for transport into the city and out. There are several parks nearby which are beautiful, a couple museums are all within walking distance. The home is cosy and full of light. It's quiet and within easy distance to a gym, coffee shops, three big supermarkets and a variety of food shops. You can do laundry, put things out to dry in the garden and even sit out to read when the weather is nice.
Carl was great host. She made my stay in Ireland unforgetable. House was clean, everything was okey. Neighbourhood was safe and calm.
Carl is a great host. She made me feel welcome at her home.
The area is safe and it takes 30 min to commute to the city center by bus.
Good value for money.
I stayed the last 6 months with Carl. The room is nice and has a good size. The house is nice and has a really beautiful garden to relax. Also the location is very convenient: there are busses to the city center, to Dun Laoghaire (sea) and you can also reach both universities (Trinity and UCD) by direct busses. Shops are just around the corner (Aldi, Lidl, Shopping Center with tesco, penneys, post office etc.).
But what was the best about my stay there, was Carl herself. She is really a very nice person and we got along really good. She helped me when I needed help, told me stories and facts about Ireland and always made me feel welcome and at home. In this six months I honestly enjoyed her company, we watched quiz shows and an irish soap together, had nice meals together and had a lot of good conversations.
I can highly recommend staying with Carl!! She is a good advisor when you need help but also leaves you alone if you want to be by yourself. She is a very relaxed person and it is easy to get along with her. I am sure you will feel comfortable quite quickly.
I really miss watching quiz shows with Carl in the evening and I definitly plan to stay with her again when I come back to Ireland.
I arranged staying with Carl for 2 months and extended it for three more months - so you can see how happy I am here. Carl makes it just so easy to feel welcomed and comfortable. The room is really nice and so is the house and the garden! I can highly recommend staying with Carl when you come to Ireland. She really is a very nice, friendly and helpful women and can give you good advices for your time here!
About the Host, Carl
I'm a friendly and relaxed person who looks forward to welcoming many international guests to my home. I began with airbnb in January 2014 and have been very happy with all the guests who have stayed so far. I've had guests from Germany, France, Slovakia, USA, Mexico etc. I'm part of an amateur dramatic society so have introduced some of my guests to Irish theatre through the plays we have produced. I like having people on longer stays than one night as we get to know one another and form a friendship.
