Unique experience ! Clean/Sanitize and secluded.
Enjoy a weekend or a few days eco-friendly retreat in an architectural, geometric masterpiece on 30 preserved acres just minutes from all that Rhinebeck and the Hudson Valley have to offer.
The house is an open plan, and though it has zero bedrooms, it can sleep 3!

The space
At the entry porch, an orb of wood carved out of the house will welcome you into a play of geometry. Situated around one main volume and open to the second level, the kitchen is placed in the center.
There is a futon queen bed, 1 sleeper futon sofa, one single futon bed.
Instead of fossil fuel, the house is heated geothermally. Instead of grid power, the house has electricity from the sun. We are sensitive to the environment and respect its ecological balance.
There is A HYBRID HEAT/COLD unit on the2nd floor.
The wood stove is highly efficient and keep the space warm in the Hudson Valley winter. Guest have access to a large supply of wood stacked outside the house. (Tip about the stove : Build the fire like a tipi and add wood in a vertical position to make sure the fire will be strong and well maintain)
The design allows the air to flow when all the doors and windows are open, in addition the floor heat is connected to be cooling in the summer.
Outside of the kitchen there is a dinning table with 4 chairs and a Charcoal BBQ (we do not provide charcoal or starter ).
We do not accept Pets of any kind, guest bringing pets will be charge an extra 200$ cleaning fee.

Guest access
From Round Lake Road you will see a mail box with 56-60 on it. The driveway is right at the intersection with Beacham rd. Once you are on the gravel driveway the house is straight ahead about 200 yards.

Covid Safety

We have enhanced our cleaning protocol, we use an Ozone machine after each guest, we wear a mask and use cleaning products known to kill the flu and covid-19. The laundry is washed and dry on the hottest setting to make sure it is sanitized.
There is no parties or visitors other than guests on the reservation allowed.
While we are working hard to make sur every stay safe and healthy we will not be able to accommodate any early check in, we appreciate every one understanding.

Other things to note
This unit "Ex of In House" is part of the 'T' Space project by architect Steven Holl.

It is set up for AirBnB guests in order to raise funds for the nonprofit project, which operates a gallery, architecture fellowship and sculpture trail. All the proceeds are directly sustaining this educational initiative. (DURING THE COVID-19 CRISIS THE TRAIL AND T2 GALLERY ARE CLOSED)

The house is an artist project and all is set up as the artist wants it to be.
The bed are all organic Japanese futons and are on the firm side.

We rely on well water and natural filtration system, the tap water is safe to drink but could get a light sulfur smell in the summer when the water table is low, just let the water run for a few minutes and the smell goes away.

If you wish to use the space for a commercial video or photoshoot please contact us. There is no video or photo shoot allowed without the consent of the T2 Reserve board.
