Beautiful 2-story private barn in Chilmark on Martha's Vineyard. Secluded yet convenient.
Perfect for a couple or a couple with older children (space not good for those with mobility issues). Downstairs living area, dining area, fridge, toaster, coffee maker, half bath -- shower is outside in the private garden. Loft-style sleeping area upstairs (2 private sections). 2 friendly labs and 5 chickens on premises. Walk to Chilmark Store, easy bus access. Walk-on pass to town beaches, no car pass

The space
Owner lives in main house adjacent.
Barn was converted by local expert craftsmen in the 1970s and has original beams, beautiful stained glass windows and skylights, painted floors. Hear the ocean at night if the wind is right, and the stars are always amazing. Cool, casual and comfortable. Brand new beds.
1 mile from Lucy Vincent Beach and Squibnocket Beach. Bathroom is a small half bath - shower is awesome but it is outside.
Indoor shower in main house available if too chilly outside.

Barn is situated on 3 acres of fields and gardens.
Eggs and honey come from the property plus tons of garden produce.

Other things to note
Car is probably preferred since this is a rural area, but easy bus access from the main road (bus does not run late).
Please be aware that if you are bringing your own car, ferry reservations can be difficult to get and must be made well in advance. Contact the Steamship Authority for more info. Rental cars expensive.
