Peace and quiet

Guests say this home is in a quiet area.
It's been called Magical Maine and that it is. Located just 1.5 hours from Boston, Ogunquit is a quaint coastal town offering restaurants, shopping, wild-life & hiking at Mt Agamanticus and, best of all, the beach! Our little home is tucked away on a 1/2 acre of wooded land just down the way from a frog pond, but still within walking distance to town and the beach. Perfect for a family vacation, romantic weekend getaway, reunion amongst friends or even solo trip!

The space
Renovated by a renowned local contractor, the cottage maintains it's original character while offering updated kitchen & bathrooms - The best of both worlds! Decor & furniture have been chosen thoughtfully, with handcrafted pieces, family heirlooms, antiques and decor collected during travels, to provide guests with a peaceful, yet original, space to relax, unwind and experience the coast of Maine. Given the wide variety of accommodations and services currently provided on AirBnb, please note we are not merely rental property but rather, this is our family summer cottage that we enjoy sharing with AirBnB travelers, friends, and family alike. While we do not offer the impersonal nature and services of a hotel, we happily provide a clean and tidy cottage for you to enjoy as you explore the Maine coast and will gladly offer recommendations for restaurants and the like.

Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire home, yard & driveway.

Other things to note
****Please contact host to review rental agreement prior to booking****

We have chosen to list our family cottage on AirBnB so that we can share the magic we find on the Coast of Maine with others. This is our goal and we hope guests leave having had a moment away from the day-to-day, a chance to pause and an opportunity to make a memory or two.

Please note, our home is child-friendly with plenty of storybooks, board games and toys. In addition, we welcome families to use the double jogging stroller for walks to the beach and town. While the cottage is child-friendly, it is not child/baby-proof.

In addition to the jogging stroller, we also leave an adult bike, small child's bike and balance bike at the cottage and guests are also welcome to use these as well. The adult bike is great for quick last minute trips into town for a gallon of milk, loaf of bread, dozen eggs etc.

We encourage potential guests to review our listing fully prior to booking and to reach out with any and all questions. We want guests to make an informed decision when booking so that they can be sure to find accommodations best suited to their needs.

Neighborhood highlights

The house is located on the end of a dirt road in a lovely neighborhood. While there are neighbors across the road & also on both sides of the house, the wooded lot provides privacy. Walkable to town & beach, yet set back from the hustle & bustle of the village, it is an ideal location with a wooden toy maker down the street & a frog pond around the bend.
