Walk to Rialto market to get fresh veggies and delicious fish, and have a aperitiv or lunch in one of the lively cafes around the market. Then walk to discover the artisans - craftmen- working on their masks, or paper, leather or wood and talk to them in their botteghe (workshop/shop) and see some great art- byzantine, renaissance, modern, contemporary we have it all here in Venice!

From Airport- ALILAGUNA boat to S.ANGELO boat stop, few minutes to the house
No smoking, Respect and politeness, and obviously a smile!
We love Lola s house so much during our stay in Venice.
1. Very good location which is near to the water boat station and St March square. For those with big luggage please note that you will have to carry your bag across the academia bridge to reach the house.
2. Lola is so helpful host. We were there when she was away but she replied our emails very promptly to solve our troubles during new year time. She also left us very detailed guide of Venice and lots of books for our reference. turns up!
3. Personally I think if you like reading you must love her house full of movies and books. you will habe enough entertainment even when you stay at her house during cold days

We had some difficulties looking for the place which is normal being first time in Venice. Initially we had problem where there were no one greeting us when we arrived. We tried calling but there were no response only to find out the host's mobile ran out of battery. We ended waiting for about an hour.
Overall stay was okay. The drawbacks are mosquito in the room and the water pressure for shower is very low. Breakfast was okay with bread and jams.
The best thing about this place is that it is well located near to the square.

Lola's adorable flat in Venice made our holiday perfect! It was located in a great spot: close enough to the touristy places to be convenient, but not close enough too feel like it. Lola prepared pages of notes for our visits and all of her suggestions were spot on, especially the place for cuchetti on the canal in Dorsoduro. She's a responsible hostess who made our stay incredibly easy and comfortable.
Lola is a very nice host. Although we couldn't meet her she had left us with detailed instructions and was helpful by responding to my messages quickly.
The house was big for two of us and was exactly as in the picture.
We had struggled a bit initially to get into the house because we tried opening the wrong door, the instructions were wrong. But Lola responded to my phone call and finally we were able to get in.
