Interaction with Guests
I love to be able to meet you and show you around the place when you arrive. I love being able to say hello and answering any questions on the neighborhood. But I also respect your privacy so will only check back in if you have any questions during your stay.
Quiet, mostly residential neighborhood, safe and away from the beach crowds - but in short walking distance to the beach. And right across the street from the grocery store, gas station and nail salon!
No loud parties...must respect other tenants in building.
No smoking inside apartment...on patio outside ok...use ashtrays

I stayed with my family for 3 nights. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay as the house was as it was described here. Rocio was very supportive. Even though she was traveling and we had a minor issue, she was prompt in addressing our query through email and also got her friend Rita to help us, I would definitely stay at her place during my next visit.
Rocio was very solicitous and proactive. She made sure to be at the apartment when we arrived (coincidentally with two very cute dogs, but I don't think they are always there as door dogs!). There was a thorough tour of the apartment and the keys. She also had a great pdf guide that was also printed out at the apartment.
The place is extremely convenient with a supermarket and a gas station near by as well as easy access to the beach and freeway!
When we arrived at Rocio's place, we were greeted with beer, scones, and a smiling host--which sums up our entire experience. The listing is exactly--better than!--as described: cute, convenient, and close to *everything*. We felt as through Rocio went out of her way to make sure we had a great time in her place, and we recommend, without hesitation, her place to anyone!
This is a prime location at an excellent, competitive price. We'll be booking when we come back. The place is cozy--everything about the experience was as we'd hoped it would be. Thanks for an excellent experience, Rocio!
The reservation was canceled 7 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Absolutely loved staying at Rocio's place. It was very cute, homely and completely matched the description. It was such a great base for our stay in Santa Monica. Rocio was a great host, very accommodating and very easy to communicate with. I'd definitely recommend this place for anyone staying in Santa Monica.
I wanted to visit LA with my two friends from Spain and Rocio's place worked perfect for us. It was very well located, just 15 minutes walking, and plenty of room for the three of us. Rocío was a great host., she speaks Spanish too so comunicate with her was really easy and she was always available for any question we had. The apartment is very clean and we'll decorated, I really recommend this place and I'll contact Rocío for my next visit to Los Angeles.
My friends and I loved the time we spent at Rocio's, and she was a great host!
We knew in advance that we'd be getting in to Santa Monica pretty late (around 11 pm), but she was accommodating and was there to give us the tour when we got in. She was always in touch when we needed her or if we had questions about something, which was a lifesaver when we managed to lock ourselves out!
There are plenty of interesting spots within walking distance, and the grocery is just a few steps away if you'd like to make use of the wonderful kitchen. Even though we chose to drive to some places (like Venice Beach), walking would've been fine if we didn't have a car. Parking wasn't a problem at all.
And in case you have more than two people, my friend wanted me to specifically mention that the aerobed was really comfortable, even though she was skeptical about it when we booked, so don't let the idea of it hold you up.
I love where I live, it's a reflection of who I am - love to be active either running, riding bikes on the beach, hiking in Topanga Canyon or Malibu. Santa Monica has a very healthy lifestyle and am lucky to live in a neighborhood where I rarely have to use my car - so many things within walking or biking distance - definitely an environmentally friendly city. I'm a "glass half full" type of person and having grown up between Peru and the US, I was born with the traveling bug and have lived in several cities/areas including Lima, Northern California, Colorado, San Diego, Madrid, and of course, Los Angeles. I love traveling and the people you meet along the way. I'm bilingual and bicultural and truly grateful for that, as I've been able to do so much and meet so many great people since I speak both English and Spanish. I do speak a little French, but not enough and it's my dream to be fluent in French one day! My day job is I'm a Creative Director and am deep in the interactive/artistic/technical realm - I really love what I do and diving into anything that's creative and/or intellectual.
I truly believe in "paying it forward", being respectful to people and kind and helpful whenever you can and not expecting anything in return. You always get rewarded eventually whether it's personally or by giving someone else the opportunity and the incentive to do the same.
When I was a starving student traveling in Europe in my 20's with 4 of my girlfriends, an older couple that we met one evening at a restaurant that was so extremely nice, bought us all dinner and told us to enjoy, and to just do the same for someone else one day... I'll never forget that! And it's on the agenda, for my next big trip :-)
