  • Great apartment location. Michela was so warm and Giovanni's daughter is the cutest! Giovanni pointed us to all the points of interest on a map and also gave us specific suggestions on what route to take and where to go to eat. The apartment is in a prime location - a 20 min walk to the Colosseum and 5 min walk to the metro and buses. There are 3 rooms and 2 bathrooms in the apartment. On our second night we had to share a bathroom with another couple, but it was no problem for us. Michela made us great cappuccino in the morning and Giovanni bought us fresh hot croissants - perfect start to the day! The apartment also has great wifi connection and fruits/snacks to eat. We enjoyed our stay there

  • We only had one night at Giovanni´s, and it was absolutely perfect for a quick visit in Rome. The apartment is very central and you can walk to the Colosseum and the main attractions around. Metro and buses are also right by the house. Giovanni was very kind and welcoming. We got espressos served on a tray to our room when we came :) Also, he gave us a map where he drew up everything worth seeing and how to get there, this was especially helpful as we only had one day to see everything. I would highly recommend Giovanni´s place in Rome!!

  • What can I say?
Giovanni was a gentleman from minute one.
He was great, helpful, accessible, reliable, brilliant .... He made us feel more than welcome. It was like we have met many times before ... And his place is outstanding: clean, safe, quiet, beautiful, comfortable .... Just amazing.
If you are looking for a place in Rome please look no further ... Giovanni's place is the place to be. And his wife was equally amazing and gentle.

  • Giovanni met us outside at the front door. He took us upstairs to the BnB, and gave us a quick tour. He was very polite. He asked for 10 minutes of our time to go over the house rules, allow us to ask any questions, and give us information about how to best see Rome in 1 day. He gave us great advice, which led us being able to see the following places at a glance in less than 6 hours: The Vatican, Pincio (amazing view of the city and landmarks), Piazza del Popolo, Spanish Steps, Fontana del Tritone, Palazzo Montecitorio, Tempio Adriano, Pantheon, Monumento a Vittorio Emanuel, Foro di Augusto, Foro di Cesare, Via dei Fori Imperiali, and the Colosseo. We even had a chance to visit Giolitti for a gelato, which Giovanni also suggested to us.

Upon arrival to the bedroom, it was a pleasant surprise to see the room decorated nicely for us. In the room was a flat screen TV mounted on the wall, air conditioner, and towels. We had our own private use of the bathroom, which was also nicely decorated. The following morning, Giovanni's wife came and prepared breakfast for us, and was also very hospitable and polite.

The neighborhood was quiet and is about a 15-20 minute walk to the Colosseum, depending on the pace.

This was our first BnB experience, and it was a great one! The next time we come to Rome, we will be sure to stay at A Casa di Alessia again.

  • We stayed 5 nights in one of Giovanni's rooms. The room was great and all the facilities were exactly what we expected. Giovanni gave us a complete rundown of all the best tourist attractions and restaurants. Great help and would stay here again!

  • Giovanni was an incredible host!! Took a lot of time to really explain the buses and trains and pointed out really good food spots. The neighborhood is really well located walking distance from the coliseum and the metro.

  • I only have great things to say about Giovanni & Michelle's place.

Firstly the position is fantastic, we walked everywhere and if you're not into walking the public transport is a few minutes walk away, both metro and bus. It was very easy to find as Giovanni's directions were spot on (which hasn't happened that often). When we arrived he was waiting for us and gave us a good 1/2 hour explanation on how to get around Rome which made the going much easier for us and also circled everything on the Rome map that was worth seeing and how to get their, bus numbers, trains etc.

Giovanni's wife Michelle was just gorgeous, she prepared breakfast for us each morning and was always happy and smiling, she doesn't speak a lot of English but made every attempt to understand us, we always ended up understanding each others needs.

As for our room, it was huge with plenty of space for our bags and a lovely view of the British Embassy gardens across the road, we could hear the birds singing each morning which I'd say doesn't happen a lot in Rome. It was also a very safe neighborhood we didn't feel threatened at all walking home after dinner. Our room and the big bathroom which we shared with 1 other couple was spotless and Michelle was there each morning to clean, even our bedroom if we wanted it done.

I highly recommend this place for anyone wanting fantastic accommodation in a fantastic neighborhood.
