Our clean 1bdrm, full-bath, in-law apt, is in a quiet, central subdivision. We are steps to the free Chapel Hill buses, a 10-5 min walk to Franklin & UNC. Enjoy cable tv & drink french press coffee with wooded view. Kitchenette. On-street parking.
This 1-bedroom, 775 sq ft apartment is close to downtown, UNC and major roadways, but it also has a quiet wooded view. Guests have their own entrance down a landscaped path, a kitchenette (mini-fridge, sink, microwave, toaster, hot-water kettle, french press with freshly ground coffee), and a full bathroom with tub. The bedroom has a queen-sized bed, and the brand new sofa bed in the living room is a double that sleeps another two. We provide a permit for on-street parking for one car. The whole house is pet and smoke free.
The entire apartment is for guest use. We provide bedding and towels, basic toiletries, hair-dryer, iron, etc. There is no laundry, but enquire for longer stays - we live upstairs and will work something out.
Interaction with Guests
We live upstairs and will be home to greet you and show you around. Please let us know when you plan to arrive so we can arrange to be there. We are always reachable by phone/txt for any needs that should arise. If we happen to be out of town during your visit, special arrangements will be made.
We live in a quiet subdivision, within walking distance to UNC and Chapel Hill's downtown.
The free Chapel Hill busses run on Martin Luther King blvd, just steps from the Columbia Pl subdivision. Parking in our neighborhood requires passes, which we will provide for one car (or, in the case of 1-2 day visit, for 2 cars). If you are bringing more than one car for a longer period of time, please enquire so we can make arrangements.

Gianluca is a terrific host. As you can see from all of the excellent reviews on this page, you have nothing to be concerned about when you book at this location. My family of four stayed very comfortably in Gianluca's home for five nights, and we hope to return next time we travel to Chapel Hill. Thank you Gianluca!
Gianluca was a perfect host and was as welcoming as a person could be. The neighborhood was great -- just a short walk to the UNC campus at Chapel Hill. The apartment was exactly as stated and was extremely comfortable... wonderful view of the woods behind the house and a very lovely setting. The rooms were perfectly clean and very well taken care of. I recommend Gianluca's place highly and will return someday.
We were in Chapel Hill to watch our son perform in the North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival and our experience at Gianluca's apartment was enjoyable in all ways. Arrival and departure was easy and the apartment fit our needs nicely. Lots of natural lights and everything was spotless and comfortable. Gianluca's wife (and adorable baby) made us feel welcome and we greatly appreciated the advice on breakfast places off the beaten path. The location was terrific -- a 5-minute drive to downtown Chapel Hill and all the arts venues, but a lovely view of the woods (and many deer) from the many windows along the back wall of the apartment. We'd definitely stay here again.
Gianluca is great--super warm and welcoming. The apartment is gorgeous: clean, modern, tastefully decorated, and very comfortable. The location is really great, too. It is close to Carboro, where there are excellent restaurants, but it is just far enough from the action that you look out on trees and feel like you're in a forest getaway.
Our stay was great here. Our host was very accommodating to us and took the time to show us around and provide us with all needed instructions and information on the area. The place was exactly as described, clean and neat and a very nice place to stay.
Awesome awesome place. Me and 2 others stayed here and there was enough room for us all. Rooms were clean and neat with a nice private side entrance. Felt like my own space. If I ever need to stay in Chapel Hill again I would easily choose this place. Thanks for making my weekend even better.
Gianluca and his family were incredibly welcoming. Right when I arrived, they gave me a tour and helped with parking passes. The place is great, very spacious and incredibly clean. All the basics are in the kitchenette plus extras like freshly ground coffee. The place was well stocked with extra towels, blankets, soap, shampoo, etc. I had a great stay and would definitely recommend it!
