Interaction with Guests
We live upstairs and will be home to greet you and show you around. Please let us know when you plan to arrive so we can arrange to be there. We are always reachable by phone/txt for any needs that should arise. If we happen to be out of town during your visit, special arrangements will be made.
We live in a quiet subdivision, within walking distance to UNC and Chapel Hill's downtown.
The free Chapel Hill busses run on Martin Luther King blvd, just steps from the Columbia Pl subdivision. Parking in our neighborhood requires passes, which we will provide for one car (or, in the case of 1-2 day visit, for 2 cars). If you are bringing more than one car for a longer period of time, please enquire so we can make arrangements.

Gianluca and Marissa were warm and friendly and made us feel welcome right away. The apartment was cheerful and comfortable, the air conditioning and wifi worked well, and my children enjoyed the Roku TV set up! The clean and convenient kitchenette was easy to use and replete with great coffee, a coffee press, and nice teas. My daughter loved the bath shampoos, soaps, etc. Although close to downtown Chapel Hill, the wooded location was quiet and peaceful, and Gianluca had a nice guest book with restaurants, etc, to visit in Chapel Hill as well as complementary chocolate! We would definitely come back.
My daughter and her friend (17 and 18) stayed here for two nights during a road trip. They tell me that the host was kind and flexible- which was helpful, given that the girls did not have an arrival time until the day that they checked in- and the place was wonderful. They loved the location of Chapel Hill, and the house was really close to all the great parts to visit. Everything was extremely comfortable, and they were very happy with their experience here!
My dad stayed here for a night while in town for business and absolutely loved it! It's a very spacious, clean and "homey" place that was perfect for him. The price and location are perfect as well. Highly recommend.
I had the pleasure of running into Gianluca when my girlfriend and I were getting in. Gianluca is true to his word! He is flexible, accommodating very available via text message and e-mail. We didn't know when we were getting in and Gianluca was totally cool with it and helpful.
As to the apartment... very true to the photos. It's a great open plan. Kitchenette provided. Comfortable furniture. It's a very relaxing time.
Gianluca was very welcoming. Very thoughtful. The neighborhood is nice and quiet, very safe. I love that I was able to go for a run at a nearby trail. It's close enough to Chapel Hill's main road without being too close and therefore inescapably loud. The apartment is clean and well appointed. The living room looks out into the woods which is just lovely. There's a sink and a refrigerator and that's nice for brining home some North Carolina treats. Since I use a french press for my coffee at home (this is provided) I was able to have my morning routine. Gianluca had a nice notebook with some of the area's offerings and he was very helpful without being invasive. Also, he is very responsive. That's a nice balance to strike as a host. I would absolutely stay here again.
Gianluca arranged everything perfectly for our arrival, despite being out of town. The apartment was clean and spacious, and we enjoyed our stay very much.
Gianluca was available for all of our questions and the space was perfect for what we needed. I definitely recommend the apartment!
