Our clean 1bdrm, full-bath, in-law apt, is in a quiet, central subdivision. We are steps to the free Chapel Hill buses, a 10-5 min walk to Franklin & UNC. Enjoy cable tv & drink french press coffee with wooded view. Kitchenette. On-street parking.
This 1-bedroom, 775 sq ft apartment is close to downtown, UNC and major roadways, but it also has a quiet wooded view. Guests have their own entrance down a landscaped path, a kitchenette (mini-fridge, sink, microwave, toaster, hot-water kettle, french press with freshly ground coffee), and a full bathroom with tub. The bedroom has a queen-sized bed, and the brand new sofa bed in the living room is a double that sleeps another two. We provide a permit for on-street parking for one car. The whole house is pet and smoke free.
The entire apartment is for guest use. We provide bedding and towels, basic toiletries, hair-dryer, iron, etc. There is no laundry, but enquire for longer stays - we live upstairs and will work something out.
Interaction with Guests
We live upstairs and will be home to greet you and show you around. Please let us know when you plan to arrive so we can arrange to be there. We are always reachable by phone/txt for any needs that should arise. If we happen to be out of town during your visit, special arrangements will be made.
We live in a quiet subdivision, within walking distance to UNC and Chapel Hill's downtown.
The free Chapel Hill busses run on Martin Luther King blvd, just steps from the Columbia Pl subdivision. Parking in our neighborhood requires passes, which we will provide for one car (or, in the case of 1-2 day visit, for 2 cars). If you are bringing more than one car for a longer period of time, please enquire so we can make arrangements.

Great experience! Gianluca is a excellent host, friendly, welcoming and helpful. The pictures are very accurate, the place was very clean. Nice, quite, safe neighborhood very close to Franklin Street. I had a short stay and was out doing things, but the place would be very comfortable if you wanted to stay in a while. Comfortable bed, and some thoughtful amenities. I will definitely be staying here next time I am in the area. Thank you!
Gianluca was a wonderful host. He met us when we arrived and showed us the apartment, which is just as described: very comfortable, convenient, in a nice neighborhood. He also provided nice locally roasted coffee and some chocolate to enjoy. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend the apartment highly.
This was an excellent spot about 4mins. Drive to the UNC campus and Franklin street activity but is in a quiet enclave. The bed and sofa bed were comfy and the extra touches like fresh ground coffee , clementines and chocolates were so appreciated . Gianluca and his wife Marisa were very welcoming . We were in sunny lower level apartment with separate entrance and plenty of space .I would stay again!
Great host great apartment and great location. Our 3 days as a family was very pleasent and relaxing. Gianluca was very available but not intrusive -fine balance to hit. Highly recommended. Thanks Gianluca!!!
This place is a wonderful value. Gianluca Corinaldesi is a charming, gracious host who took the time to show me around the apartment, guided me to a great burger place nearby and just generally made me feel comfortable and welcome. He provided a parking permit covering all three nights I was there. In the bathroom, clean towels and washcloths were abundant, along with soap, shampoo, etc. Linens were clean and comfortable. A separate thermostat enabled me to control the apartment temperature independent of the temperature of the Corinaldesi's house above. A complementary bottle of wine and two chocolate bars awaited me when I arrived. Gianluca also provided coffee for the french press in the kitchen as well as an assortment of herbal teas. The apartment is exactly as described and depicted in the photos -- very comfortable, immaculately clean, with a lot of privacy and a view of a wooded area from the living room windows. The private entrance to the apartment enhanced the sense of seclusion and privacy. The one flaw in this product is that there is no room for ice trays in the freezer of the kitchen refrigerato. But when I texted Gianluca asking forice, he appeared at my door with a bucket-full in less than three minutes. All in all, I found this to be a great value and hope it will be available the next time I'm in Chapel Hill. Highly recommended!
Host was gracious. The apartment was clean and spacious. The neighborhood was quiet. Very close to Franklin street. We saw deer every day.
I loved this location. It was everything that was described and more! The chocolate and awesome coffee are nice touches! Thank you.
