We live upstairs and will be home to greet you and show you around. Please let us know when you plan to arrive so we can arrange to be there. We are always reachable by phone/txt for any needs that should arise. If we happen to be out of town during your visit, special arrangements will be made.
We live in a quiet subdivision, within walking distance to UNC and Chapel Hill's downtown.
The free Chapel Hill busses run on Martin Luther King blvd, just steps from the Columbia Pl subdivision. Parking in our neighborhood requires passes, which we will provide for one car (or, in the case of 1-2 day visit, for 2 cars). If you are bringing more than one car for a longer period of time, please enquire so we can make arrangements.

This was my third multi-night stay. I keep coming back because Gianluca has found the formula for meeting needs while protecting privacy. The apartment is very comfortable, with furnishings and comfort measures such as an extra blanket or two, a wine bottle opener, coffee press. Lots of natural light, even though the apartment is downstairs. Street parking is very handy, and I also walked down to the bus stop to use the free chapel hill bus system. I'll be back next time I'm in town!
Great location, 5 minutes or less to Franklin St/UNC, very friendly and accommodating host, comfortable bed and futon sofa.
Gianluca's place was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and located just minutes from UNC-CH campus. The neighborhood felt very safe and tucked away, but close to many restaurants and eateries.
Gianluca welcomed me and showed me around the place, and even allowed me to check in several hours early to accommodate my schedule. I had everything I needed, and especially enjoyed the hot tea in the evening, chocolates that were provided, and the french press coffee in the morning.
Also worth noting: Nice minifridge for your essentials, Roku with access to Netflix and Hulu, easy on-street parking, and a bus stop just down the street.
I will certainly consider staying at Gianluca's again should I ever be in the area.
We really enjoyed our stay at this clean, quiet, exceptionally tranquil apartment. It was exactly as described in the listing and all of my interactions with Gianluca were prompt and easy going. I particularly liked that the whole home, including the linens, were scent-free. I would definitely come back!
Our stay was great! Peaceful and convenient. The place was clean, cute and comfortable. Our toddler loved seeing deer and a fox out the back windows. This was our second stay here, and we were happy we came back. Gianluca is a perfect host!
Gianluca and Marissa were warm and friendly and made us feel welcome right away. The apartment was cheerful and comfortable, the air conditioning and wifi worked well, and my children enjoyed the Roku TV set up! The clean and convenient kitchenette was easy to use and replete with great coffee, a coffee press, and nice teas. My daughter loved the bath shampoos, soaps, etc. Although close to downtown Chapel Hill, the wooded location was quiet and peaceful, and Gianluca had a nice guest book with restaurants, etc, to visit in Chapel Hill as well as complementary chocolate! We would definitely come back.
My daughter and her friend (17 and 18) stayed here for two nights during a road trip. They tell me that the host was kind and flexible- which was helpful, given that the girls did not have an arrival time until the day that they checked in- and the place was wonderful. They loved the location of Chapel Hill, and the house was really close to all the great parts to visit. Everything was extremely comfortable, and they were very happy with their experience here!
