This house is functions as an art gallery and it is available for related artistic residencies and other activities, such as small professional events, and hosting small groups whenever we don't have open art shows. It is also a great place to stay in Brasilia, quiet, central, comfortable, interesting.

The space
This is the house where I grew up. It has a tradition of serving the art and music community in Brasilia. it is an original Niemeyer project that has been recently renovated to make optimum use of the space.

The location is central in Brasilia, at a close distance to all the government buildings and Embassies. Guests may be able to accomplish all their basic needs on foot or using the public transportation system.

We produce small events, seminars and art shows in the house, it also has two beautiful rooms for guests and a third bedroom that is fun and open, for someone who is active and creative.

There are also an office space and a gallery hall. If we need to rearrange for a specific use, please let us know your needs and we will find a way to make it happen.

We have seven large work tables, 5 of which can be moved to suit different needs, such as dinners for up to 20 sitting guests or separate office and production workspaces.

There are two sitting sets that can be moved to different parts of the house depending on your needs and the weather season (rain or dry).

Please let us know what your planned use of the space before you book it. We welcome creative professionals and we can provide a local production network to fill your needs, including catering, cleaning, and publicity.

By booking this listing you will have the whole house available for your use. Including the three bedrooms, plus office space and gallery hall, plus garden and service areas, the two bathrooms and fully equipped kitchen, including state of the art large fridge with the capacity to provide a continuous flow of cold drinks during events.

This reservation does not include the use for small events, it only permits regular hosting and office-work use. In order to plan for small events, please contact us, so we can calculate the appropriate cost for the event that you have in mind.

The reservation does not include pets. If you have a pet, please let us know, so we can discuss norms and procedures plus an animal fee to cover for the pet and any acquiring extra cleaning fee.

There are security cameras in the common areas of the house only, not in the bedrooms.

Other things to note
This is not appropriate for large parties or loud events. This is supposed to be a comfortable place to stay and work, a launching pad for larger production work and a place to hold meetings and small events for up to 20 sitting guests or up to 100 standing, at it's fullest capacity. Please consult for price relative to your plans.

Any visitors that are not authorizer for specific periods of time should be accounted for as guest and included in the main reservation.

Neighborhood highlights

This is one of the firts neighborhoods in Brasilia, as such it served as a model for the development of the rest of the city. If you have an interest in architecture there is plenty to explore in the surroundings, especially the urban planning and the model "superquadra 308", just next block, with the "Igrejinha" by Niemeyer, gardens by Bourle Max and other attractions.

We are also walking distance to the large city park, and to supermarkets, banks, clubs, restaurants, cafes, etc.

I am a Brazilian composer, I also serve as Artistic Director for the International Brazilian Opera Company. We have a few spaces that serve as artistic residencies, and they can be available through airbnb when the schedule is clear. I play guitar, piano, trumpet, and percussion. I like to ride a bicycle in Central Park when in NY, Copacabana beach when in Rio and the Parque da Cidade when in Brasilia. I speak English, Portuguese, French, Spanish and a tiny little bit of Swedish and German. And I love to meet new people and chat.
