Obora's place was great. It was lovely and spacious. We were told by NYC Cab drivers that the neighborhood wasnt the best place if not the worst but we felt very comfortable during our stay at night. I would highly recommend Obora's apartment to anyone. I loved the apartment! No complaints.
I highly recommend ! it was a great experience.
It was the first time I booked via Airbnb and we are very satisfied.
Everything was perfect.
On our arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Oboras's parents. They showed us the apartment and explained us everyting. The apartement was very nice, clean, well-equiped. We had all we need and even more. There were welcome chips, tea, coffee, butter, soap .... and so we felt like at home.
We enjoyed Harlem and the friendly neighborhood and next to the apartment there are all the facilities you need. On the day of departure we were allowed to store our luggage until our departure.
And last but not least : At the end of our stay, one of our childs had a personal issue and Obora kept in touch with us after our stay in her apartment, and she actively helped us resolve our problem, like a friend do.
She's a very friendly and helpful person, and I highly recommend her.
I am looking forward to stay at her place again !
Thanks, Anke for the lovely review. It was really great meeting you and your family. We are so glad you all had such a nice time. We are also very happy that everything worked out in the end. May the universe continue to bless you and your family. You are welcome back anytime and we look forward to visiting you in France :-)
After a late flight into JFK we were warmly welcomed by the host's parents on arrival at the apartment.
The listing description was accurate and the apartment was everything we had expected it to be. The apartment is conveniently located only a short walk from two subway stations making it very easy to get downtown. On the first day we walked from the apartment, downtown through Central Park to the Natural History Museum and then onto Broadway etc - an easy and pleasant walk.
The neighborhood is quiet (as a city can be!) and friendly with just enough amenities/restaurants/bars without being 'too touristy'. We enjoyed the experience of staying in a proper New York apartment as opposed to a generic downtown hotel. The convenience of a full kitchen, washing machine, tumble dryer etc made this an ideal option for our group.
The host's (and their parents) were very accommodating. A minor issue was quickly resolved and they allowed us to store our baggage at the apartment until our late departure.
Absolutely excellent. This was the first time I booked used Airbnb and I am totally satisfied. Perfect location. Harlem is a nice neighborhood. Close to everything. The bus stop is right in front of the building. Obora and Michael are beautiful people. Always available for any request. The evening that we arrived, they were outside the building waited us, and helped us with the luggage over the stairs. The apartment is so impeccable that I can't find a defect. beds and sofa very comfortable and also the inflatable bed. For us it was a blessing having in the house the washer and the dryer.
The kitchen is replenished with all the essential kitchenware. Wifi perfectly working. Access to Netflix and other streaming on demand online on tv. We slept well every night. Absolutely no noise.since we had to leave the city in the late afternoon, they let us to leave the bags in the apartament until we were ready to go,even if the check out it at 11 am. This was a big favor for us! I recommend this apartment and I hope that the next time I'll return, it'll be available. We couldn't choose better.
