The Space

Cutest Casita in Taos, about 7 miles north of Taos is about half way between the town
and Taos Ski Vallley. It is near the village of Arroyo Seco on a private dead end road, with its own fenced gardened yard with hot tub. Please see our feedback and you will see
we have hosted many happy customers. We do have a 3 night minimum, and we can
offer discounts for long term stays.
This little charming private home is beautifully furnished with down comforters and pillows, soft thick towels and bathrobes and lots of pillows. There is a complete kitchen,
with dishwasher, blender and all the staples like flour, sugar, spices etc.. for cooking at
home to save you some vacation funds. The loft bedroom has a new beautiful custom
staircase, a huge picture window of the Taos mountains and a comfy Sealy Queen bed.
There is also a grotto glass block shower and radiant floor heat in the slate floors. You have your own private hot tub in your fenced yard with lots of roaming space for your
pet and shade trees for reading, or sunning on the deck. You won't believe the stars
from the hot tub! You will really feel at home here.... this sun washed little home has all the charm and peace and quiet you are looking for in your favorite vacation spot, Taos New Mexico.

  • Kitty was an amazing and thoughtful host! Her dogs are awesome too. Her place is gorgeous, with stunning views and lots of charm. We loved the artwork, woodworking, and many cute details of the casita. Great snow-shoeing, hiking, and birding in the area. Very relaxing private deck and hot tub. We look forward to returning as soon as possible. Thanks Kitty!

  • The space is adorable, well decorated and very charming. It is private and offers some stunning views of the surrounding mountains and the night sky. The location is perfect for exploring both Arroyp Seco and Taos. Perfect for a couple's retreat.

  • I've traveled to Taos many times throughout my life and this was, without a doubt, the most enjoyable accommodations I've had. Although Kitty was not there during our stay her property manager, Elizabeth, was extremely helpful and attentive. Everything we could have possibly needed while on vacation was provided. There are so many little details that are considered for guests. In my opinion this is the best way to truly take in the Taos experience. It felt as if we were residence for six days.

If you stay here, get a bottle of Champaign, turn out all of the lights right at sunset, sit in the jacuzzi and watch the universe gradually come into view. There's nothing like it.

  • This really is the cutest casita ever...It's thoughtfully decorated, has gorgeous views of the mountains, a cozy bed, hot tub outside on the deck, beautiful birds eating from the feeders every morning outside the window... Kitty has done an excellent job anticipating your every possible want or need as a guest in a vacation home, which makes the whole experience so comfortable. There are plenty of towels available, basics in the kitchen (S & P, oils, coffee filters, etc) and bathroom (body wash, little hotel shampoos & conditioners, hairdryer), extra blankets, gas and charcoal grills, and even robes to wear out to the hot tub. We loved Arroyo Seco, Taos Ski Valley, and the overall mellowness of our trip. It's exactly what we wanted. Thank you again, Kitty! We hope to be back someday!

  • We stayed 4 nights at Kitty's casita about 9 miles north of Taos. It was a
Fine drive and the house was comfortable, lovely, and fully equipped.
We never met Kitty as she was very busy at that time. We explored
The whole area around and in Taos and visited the museums, art, and
Houses around there. Nights the sky was awesome at the house.
We highly recommend staying there if you would like a loft bedroom.

Thanks so much, Joyce ~ we are really sorry that life gets in the way. We are still dealing with some
serious family problems, but we sure hope you will come back so we can make the connection ~

  • We had a double rainbow the afternoon we arrived. Our stay just got better and better. Total privacy, clean and comfortable accommodations with all the amenities we required and then some. The casita is close enough to modern conveniences yet far enough away from central Taos to escape our fellow travelers. We loved it and will be back. We have already told several friends.

  • My sister and I stayed at Kitty's Casita for a long weekend. It is just the cutest casita with the best energy. Kitty and joseph are the best ever!!! You need to stay here. The spa is so relaxing under the stars in the cool night air. There is a wooden deck where we did Yoga a couple mornings. Make sure you follow Kitty's directions. The Gps doesn't know. THANKS AGAIN KITTY!!! We will be back soon! maybe to your other listing too.

  • Only an angel could make a bed this comfortable. This beautiful place is clearly a labor of love and no amenity had been spared. The space itself is gorgeous, truly and creatively well thought and then filled with every possible amenity. You could not find an extra pair of warm socks, or bug repellent or a million other little conveniences at a five star hotel as quickly as you can here. Kitty herself is as warm and helpful as you could wish making herself available or allowing you privacy according to your need, in equal measure. The casita is perfectly placed for ski valley access and town, being right between. I cannot recall a more pleasant vacation rental (and host) and can't wait to come back. Thank you, Kitty!

  • My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kitty's Casita. The location is fabulous-- we made day trips to hike in the National Forest, to Ghost Ranch & Abiquiu, to the Gorge Bridge, to Truchas, to Ojo Caliente, as well as forays into Taos & Arroyo Seco. But the casita itself is charming, beautifully and obviously lovingly constructed, and filled with thoughtful amenities. The hosts were delightful and friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Joe and I have been in Taos since 1974, so we surely love the place!!! Known as the Land of Enchantment, New Mexico and especially the Taos area has so much to offer it is almost overwhelming. We have world class skiing at Taos Ski Valley and now snow boarding there as well as Angel Fire resort, Red River ski area and even little Sipapu ski area. The hiking and chair lift rides in the summer are equally beautiful, and there is a new mountain bike trail system in Angel Fire that is becoming known for its challenging terrain nationwide. Taos Pueblo is a world heritage site that is over 1000 years old and features their feast day dances that are unbelievable. Go to (website hidden) to read about their attractions and customs. It is something that you just can't miss in Taos. The Rio Grande river with its natural beauty not to mention rafting, swimming, and fly fishing. We have Wheeler Peak, the largest mountain in New Mexico, and the Enchanted Circle drive that skirts its flanks goes from Taos to Red River to Angel Fire and back for one of the prettiest 100 mile drives you will remember. We love to meet people from all over the world, and have hosted guests from the Netherlands, Italy, Mexico and the UK! We even have traded for homes in Mexico and Italy. We love to travel and stay in comfortable places, so we have designed our homes to be very complete. We love to cook, so our kitchens are well stocked with all the basics like sugar, flour, condiments, blenders, coffee makers, serving dishes and utensils. Our furniture is very comfy, leather couches and lots of pillows! We have made our bedrooms with the best of linens, down comforters and pillows and good mattresses. So let us know where you live and what you like when you visit other places.... and if you have a listing on Airbnb, we'd love to hear about it.
