We received a very warm welcome, a tour of the charming home and a nice selection of breakfast items were provided. The home is very cozy and feels like a home (not just a motel). An also cozy courtyard makes for a nice outdoor respite. The home is in a beautiful neighborhood where I enjoyed walks every morning, running into the same neighbors each day also out on walks. Starbucks and a big grocery store just 1-2 blocks away. Lia and Gary printed up two really cool tours of LA, not the usual stops, we didn't have time to do those this visit, but definitely want to work them in during our next visits! Would love to stay here again.
My girlfriend and I stayed at Lia's place for three days. This was our very first Airbnb stay and it has been such a great experience. Lia and Garry are very very nice. Everything had been well prepared when we arrived at the house. Lia showed us around the house and explained everything in details. There are a lot of conveniences available - microwave, fridge, dishwasher, utensils, coffee, tea, etc. The room we stayed in is very spacious and comes with a private bath/shower. There are many paintings and art collections in the house, which we love so much about. The pastry that Lia prepares for breakfast is great. We'd definitely love to stay in Lia's house again when we visit LA next time!
Lia's home is a welcoming safe harbor for tourists from around the world, for researchers, and those of us with friends and work ties in Los Angeles. Our room was comfortable, the residence and area is quiet, residential, and has easy walking access to bakery, coffee shop, and friendly community. The metro gold line is a short drive from Lia's home, and provides access to the entire public transportation system. Who wants to drive?
Lia is a caring host. I feel like I've known her for years!
Thank you again for your hospitality, Lia. We appreciate your generosity in letting us stay on Sunday until it was time to drop off my husband at BUR.
We love Garry and Liane's private serene retreat. Liane is the ultimate hostess. The croissants are delish. Very knowledgeable and personable. She encouraged us to visit Watts Towers which was awesome. I had back pain when I arrived and after sleeping on her wonderful mattress it was gone. The house is near an interesting neighborhood with many places for food. Again another wonderful stay.
I stayed at Lia & Garry's house during my bar exam. It was so great to have met them. They are super friendly and kind hosts. The room and the house itself are cozy, lovely and clean. The location is also very convenient to go to Old Pasadena.
If I have a chance to visit LA again, definitely I will stay here. Thank you for everything Lia & Garry done for me. Hope to see you soon again! X
Lia and Garry are wonderful people, and they provided me with a very cozy home away from home while I was in Pasadena. The place was lovely and they were very cordial hosts. I hope to see them again soon.

We're both photographers and writers. We are experienced and enthusiastic travelers who've been on the road for quite a few years, and we like to use this experience as hosts. We enjoy new travel experiences and meeting new people.
We love sharing our knowledge about our neighborhood, Pasadena, and Los Angeles. We want our guests to have a great SoCal experience. We're fans of the LA Metro Rail system and are glad to help you plan a car-free stay (Yes, it can be done!) or figure out how to use your car less to avoid traffic. We even provide Metro TAP Cards loaded with your first rides.
Our organic garden is filled with fruit trees and grapevines and we're glad to share this bounty with our guests. Plus, our neighborhood is filled with bakeries — the croissants from around the corner are better than the ones at the bakery downstairs from the Paris Airbnb apartment we stayed in!
Our Airbnb experiences have been great, and we look forward to more!
