2026 is change, just in management, NOT service!

It's time I bow out of the day to day management. I look forward to traveling, visiting family and friends and doing what seniors do!

We're excited the Board agreed to work with the Staff to manage the FarmHouse.

You'll still experience the hominess of our 6 bedroom FarmHouse, star gazing, looking at the moon, watching lightning bugs in the front yard and experiencing amazing dawns & sunsets!

Stop by!

Fondly,

Linda & Martin

The space
When we hear “It feels like home,” we know we’re meeting our goal.

Enjoy cups of coffee and sunshine on the sun-porch, walks in the pastures and countryside.

A large selection of books, games and toys are on hand for young and old, plus a couple of outdoor games.

Visit the Nissen Winery, or “Hard Patch,” Hartington’s new amazing brew house.

Explore northeast Nebraska, starting with Bow Valley’s historic Sts. Peter and Paul church and others dotted around the area.

Notice: $25 Fee per dog, with approval by owner.

Guest access
You’re welcome to use the open areas in the house, including the utility room with the washer & dryer.
You may take walks in the pastures if there are no cattle mowing, but it’s advisable to stick to the cow paths. Badger holes have caught walkers unaware!

As Organic farmers, Martin and I dedicated our lives to taking care of the land and animals placed in our care. Martin was raised on the farm as was our family of 5. The FarmHouse, along with Martin, celebrated their 80th Birthday this year. After 8 years managing the FarmHouse Inn, we are turning the management over to the next generation of Kleinschmit’s. We’re happy to introduce Marnie Kleinschmit, as the Manager as of 2026!
