I stayed in the apartment for a month with my wife and our 6-month old son. The apartment is cosy and nice, we recommend it for anyone who wants to rent a true roman apartment and to see normal roman life and still to have a good connections to all the main attractions. The owner Betta was truly helpful and trustworthy and it was easy to get contact with her even when we had some issues with the kitchen equipment. Thanks to Daniela, it was also easy to book the apartment and organise transport to and from the airport. If you want to take a taxi from the airport, it's easiest if you ask Daniela to book it for you. The service was great.
The best thing about the apartment is the location near Vatican but still far enough from the masses of tourists that occupy the streets near the Pza. del Risorgimento. Metro A from the Cipro station takes you to city center quickly and there are good bus connections for example to Trastevere. There are plenty of restaurants, cafés, good supermarkets, clothes and shoe shops and a large mercato where you can buy fresh meat, fish, vegetables etc. There is also a great ice cream place around the corner on Via Candia.
The apartment was a bit shabbier than it looks in the bright pictures and the kitchen was not as well equipped as we expected. On the other hand the oven, the fridge and the dishwasher were brand new, on the other hand there lacked some basic things that you would expect to find in any kitchen. It must be said that the owner brought us more plates, forks etc. immediately after we asked for them. The bed wasn't very comfortable and there are some pieces of furniture that are not in a good shape (for example the drawers in the smaller room). For anyone staying with small children, take into account that the apartment is in the fourth floor (not second) and the elevator is very small and there a couple of steps by the front door.
The owner Betta helped us a lot by bringing us many things we needed for the baby (high chair, crib, changing mattress). The building is old and beautiful and has a nice courtyard. Despite the small deficiencies we would definitely stay in this apartment when we come to Rome next time. Thank you Daniela and Betta:)
A very good address to stay in Rome with underground station just besides and 5 minutes walk to Musei Vaticani. The appartment is clean and large enough, also very quiet at night. Thanks to Daniela advices you can live a fabulous dining experience at Dino and Tony's osteria, about 10 minutes walk.
Daniella was a fantastic host, and was very informative even in my jet lagged state she pointed out many landmarks, points or interest and local places to eat and shop.
Her annotated map was a big help and was a constant point of reference on travels though the city.
She also arranged pick ups and drop off drivers to make life simple.
Even offered to help try sort out my Italian mobile sim issues ( thankfully resolved earlier)
She added a great deal of value to the trip and although obviously in demand I always felt at the top of the priority list for her.
I will be advising any friends traveling through Rome to check with her if possible.
I already miss area of via Andrea Doria, thanks to Daniella it very quickly felt like home.
Daniela, thank you for being our hosts at the moment we were in trouble with the time of booking. Transfer from airport was very comfortable and we enjoyed our staying in Rome from the first until last moment. Claudia was friendly and cats adorable. I will not forget excellent coffee and cookies in morning. Problem we had with shower was resolved in a same day successfully. Room we used was clean and bright. Only difficulty we had was neighbor listening until 23 to the TV to loud. It was nice to hear birds in the morning singing in the nearby parc. Daniela & Claudia thnk you
This place is so very out dated in the furniture and décor. Ever thing is so old and simple. All lamps were of plastic and cheap. This is a easy- get -by place for the owner. Such a BIG disappointment for the money. Never again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The cups and glasses are sad to have in the place.I can go on,but will stop.
Hi Lloyd, I'm sad that you wrote this. It seemed all was good except internet that I tryed to check as soon as possible. We spoke a lot by e-mail and when I came on to the apartment you could tell me something, maybe I could check with you and help in someway. Generally this apartment is very appreciated but we are all different so, I hope you had a good staying in amalfitan coast and hope to see you here in Rome. Thanks dany
We really enjoyed our stay in this apartment and Daniela was a wonderful host! She was extremely helpful and communicative as we were arranging our stay, flexible when our arrival time changed because of flight delays (and even helped us with all the luggage that we had) and she and her colleague were very responsive whenever we needed anything. She also helped us arrange transport when we were moving into our permanent apartment.
The Vatican Wall apartment is comfortable and well-outfitted. It was well-heated which was important since we rented it for the month of February! We were a family of three and this apartment worked perfectly for us--would also work for a larger family. Thanks again to Daniela for making our stay so great.
Daniela is a fantastic host, she met us at the apartment with a bottle of wine. Helped with our luggage. The apartment is quite spacious, fully equipped kitchen, king size bed, large lounge. It is well located, close to transport and local shops, supermarket etc It is also close to St Peters and the Vatican Museum.. Daniela supplied us with lots of information as to getting around Rome and what to see. We stayed at the apartment for a month and thoroughly enjoyed it. I would recommend staying here to anyone that wants to visit Rome. I would definitely recommend dealing with Daniela as she will go out of her way to help you, a very pleasant and friendly person. From our point of view it was also handy that she speaks very good English.
Had a fantastic stay in Rome in the apartment. Daniela was extremely friendly and helpful and her cafe/food recommendations were some of the great highlights of our trip.
