  • Mrs. Mei Lin and Mr Ross are great hosts. They are friendly and helpful. They welcomed me and their attitudes made my stay very relaxed. I really appreciate them. The room was clean. I am so lucky I could stay at their place. It might be minor, but I was not told in advance that their garden was under renovation. It caused a bit of noise. I would love to go back if there place is available for my future visit to Stanford area.

  • My stay at Mei Lin's place was amazing. The location was perfect for me since I enjoyed walking downtown a lot. She was available and eager to help with any questions about the town or things to do. The room was exactly like shown in the pictures, clean and really quiet. I absolutely loved her bonsai garden. Everything was walking distance from her place and she also let me borrowed her bike which helped a lot. I would definitely recommend her place to everyone that wants to have a great time in Palo Alto and will definitely stay with her again in the future.

  • Mei Lin welcomed me graciously even though I arrived two hours early. I was a weary traveler and she welcomed me into her home.
She has a beautiful home, and house rules make it an effortless experience. I made use of the bicycles to travel to campus which made for a short, easy commute.
Each evening as I relaxed in my room I was treated to beautiful piano music by skilled artists.
If Mei Lin will have me back, I would be more than happy to use their listings again.

  • The room was nice, the house was great, and the location was perfect. Mei Lin and Ross are great hosts, and I very much enjoyed their company. The kitchen and bathroom were big and convenient. Not to forget: There are multiple stores (such as Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s) and gyms within walking distance, and Stanford campus is close as well (10 minutes by bike, 30 minutes walking). And of course, the California weather and atmosphere gives everything an extra dimension.

  • I moved to SF Bay Area and I chose Bonsai Garden as a temporary stay while I looked for a definitive place. I must say that I couldn't find a better place. Unfortunately I couldn't interact a lot with the hosts because I was always too busy, but every time I needed them, they were kind and helpful. As for the place, it's a fully furnished room and you have access to the common areas of the house, which is pretty comfy and beautiful. I would surely recommend this place to a friend.

  • I booked Bonsai Garden Inn for my sister who came to visit me. The place is conveniently located near Palo Alto Caltrain and Uni Ave but not within (~10 mins stroll) so you can get a quiet night sleep. The room is cozily furnished with everything you need and Mei Lin is welcoming. Overall an ideal place to stay and I would recommend to everyone!

  • The house is beautiful and the bed and bedroom is very nice. There is everything you could need. The garden is also splendid and very nice to sit around in to just read a book or work on the laptop. The house is in a very nice neighbourhood, very close to everything you might need to buy.
