We live in a great location downtown. It is where Chinatown meets Little Italy, four blocks from Soho, Tribeca, and walking distance to the Financial District, Nolita, the East Village etc. We are right next to the subway - the 6 train, the N, R, Q, W and the J, M, Z. Or you can walk about 10 minutes to the A, C, E or 1. We usually walk or bike most places.
The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, large living room and two small bedrooms (one with double bed, the second is a nursery with a crib). The living room has a fold-out couch that sleeps two people.
The apartment gets great light- southern facing. It is not a fancy doorman building- just a one floor walk-up in an old Chinatown building (no intercom). There is of course a catch for such a great deal- the apartment is above a karaoke bar. Some people don't care, others have to use earplugs- but I'm honest and wanted to let you all know in advance that it is noisy. But that's why it's so cheap! We LOVE it and if you don't mind rockin' to some karaoke, then you will too!

Fantastic location, very simple visit. Perfect!
The apartment has a perfect location and is really comfortable. The communication with Kendra was absolutely nice, her response time was really fast and she offered something like a guidebook with some recommendations for the nearer neighborhood.
I stayed at Kendra's apartment with three friends and we had a perfect time! The house is very worm, we never turned up the heat even when it snowed outside. The apartment is well equipped, bright, and it's a few minutes from subway.
The location is really great for a tourist!
Kendra is very kind and thoughtful, and she's been very helpful.
Affordable digs in a neighborhood with character and hidden gems with very convenient subway connections nearby...whether noise is an issue really depends on personal sensitivity. Would recommend for the flexible and adventurous traveler that is not finicky about things. Hosts were helpful and flexible which was a big plus.
Kendra's place was very cute and we loved the location in Chinatown! It was fun to explore the area and eat some amazing food. There are cool bars within walking distance and the karaoke place downstairs was a good nightcap. Noise was never an issue. Kendra was easy to coordinate with and offered maps of the area and good tips. She was very nice! I wouldn't hesitate to stay at Kendra's place next time I'm in NYC.
My brother and I spent 4 nights at Kendra's apartment around Thanksgiving and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location was very well suited for walks to the Financial District, Little Italy and Broadway, there was a nearby subway at Canal Street and the apartment itself was more than big enough for the two of us. As the description for this property points out, the apartment is 'kinda noisy' owing to its location right above a karaoke joint downstairs which was in full swing on all of Thurs, Fri, Sat and Sun night, however if you know that in advance then you can't have any grumbles staying there. Our only complaint would be the smoke detector in the communal hallway beeped relentlessly as its batteries were on the way out, but this is probably just a case of bad timing. Nevertheless Kendra as a host made sure that the cleaner would be at the flat to let us in which was a great help given that our flight was delayed several hours and we didn't arrive at the apartment until 8pm on Thanksgiving, so we were very grateful for that. All in all a great apartment for those looking to have some fun in NY!
Kendra's place was amazing. It is located close Chinatown, NY. There are grocery stores, and delis located very close by. The house itself was extremely clean when we reached. It is stocked with basically all the things you will ever need to call a place home, such as spices, sauces, pans, plates, etc. All in all, we had a very pleasant experience.
As mentioned in the heading, it is somewhat noisy due to a karaoke bar closeby. However, the sound does not reach the bedroom so you can still have a comfortable night's sleep. In any case, there is usually no sound after about 12 PM, so the sound didn't really affect my stay at all.
I will definitely live here the next time I visit NY.
We had a great weekend. Kendra was an accommodating Host. Fast Response. Would recommend to other Airbnb travelers.
Kendra's apartment is conveniently located in Chinatown and right next to the subway station. My three friends and I stayed at Kendra's apartment for the weekend in NYC. Kendra was a wonderful host and was extremely helpful for check-in when we arrived from the airport. The apartment is cozy and as pictured. The bathroom is somewhat small (but hey, it's NYC). Great host. Great location. Good apartment!
Our stay was great, Kendra was very flexible about our check in time and her husband was nice enough to greet us when we arrived. Everything was exactly as it appears in the photos. The location is great! The first night we did hear a little music however it was no louder that a low background noise. We would stay here again anytime! We went down stairs to eat at pongsri our first night, and compared to the Thai food we had in Thailand, their Thai food was extremely delicious and authentic. Definitely recommend!
