An airy and elegantly decorated 104 square meter apartment built in 1903, beautifully renovated, with wooden floors, high ceilings, 3 balconies and lots of light! 2 living rooms, a trendy (state-of-the-art) open space kitchen with dish washer, 2 bedrooms (one single, one double) and one bathroom. The apartment is centrally located: It's a 10 minute walk to the Oktoberfest and about 7 mins to Marienplatz. The street is full of interesting shops, restaurants and cafes and you can reach the river Isar in about 5 minutes. An absolute top location! There is free fast wireless internet (WLAN), a washing machine and generally speaking everything to cater for a truly comfortable stay, even a wood-burning stove! Bedding and towels provided. The owner is British, so the bookshelves are full of English books and the TV has a special satellite for English speaking TV. Nina either lets out the whole apartment or also one or two rooms upon request while she is resident there. The price quoted is for the whole apartment.
Please take care of tropical wooden kitchen top Nothing hot or drinks should be placed on it without a coaster..Thanks
Please be careful with the shower curtain - its safest to leave the shower head where it is!
Great flat - unique and beautifully decorated. It's a special place in a great location with lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Nina was charming and extremely helpful in the run up. We loved staying there.
Nina was a wonderful host. She was always available to answer questions. She recommended a tent for Oktoberfest and even invited us to sit at her table on an overcrowded night! The apartment is beautiful and centrally located. I highly recommend booking Nina's apartment!
The apartment is great - just as it appears in the photos, which are excellent. It's very clean and well taken care of. It's in one of the best locations you could be in for Munich and has easy access to the U-Bahn and streetcars. It's about a ten to fifteen minute walk to Marienplatz. It also worked well for three people sleeping separately, as long as you are not too tall (i.e. 6'+) the couch is comfortable and Nina offered to put out bedding for it.
The apartment has the space and necessities if you wanted to eat there, we only ate breakfast in the apartment.
Nina was a good host and provided a number of good recommendations as well as letting us know how we could find her son for help getting into an Oktoberfest tent. We didn't end up in the section of Oktoberfest he was working in, but definitely appreciated the offer.
We really appreciated that Nina stuck to the reservation although she unexpectedly needed to stay in town. This is my first time using Airbnb so I'm not sure if canceling is a practical option for the host, but it definitely would have put us in a tough spot so the fact that Nina found another place to stay was really appreciated. She gave advance notice when she had to drop in to pick up a couple forgotten items and that someone would be coming in to clean.
I know a few reviews have mentioned the shower - we didn't have any issues with it. The hot water is limited but we were a group of 3 and were all able to shower comfortably in succession.
Nina and I had good communication prior to the visit and during. The apt is located in a central neighborhood for Munich. We went specifically for Oktoberfest and we could walk to the event and to all stores, restaurants, bars and clubs that we had an interest in.
Nina's apartment was just as charming in person & the location was fantastic. We were able to walk to shopping, restaurants, the train station(s), & to grab taxi's. While I didn't get to meet Nina (she was on holiday herself) she was responsive, helpful & very flexible. I would absolutely recommend Nina & her apartment.
