Hi, I am Titas. This is my apartment. I think you will like it:
* It's modern, bright and has a nice view from the balcony
* Most interesting spots in the city center and old town 5 - 15 mins away on foot
* Great bars, restaurants and cafes nearby
I think my apartment is in an ideal location in Vilnius. It is just between the city center and the old town, literally across the street from both. The building is new, so there are no usual Old Town house problems, like it being too cold or too humid. Adjustable heating and air conditioning will make it comfortable for everyone. Oh, in case it ain't (ain't ain't a word, I know ;)) clear from the pictures - there's a king size bed (bedroom) and a couch (main room) to sleep on; main room is joined with the kitchen. Total space - 42 square meters + balcony.
For those of you who want good Wi-Fi - I used to work remotely from this apartment, so I got a great fiber there. It will handle anything from streaming, to internet calls, to huge file downloads.
I am leaving the apartment fully stocked for you. You will find coffee and a few devices to brew it, tea, kitchen with spices, pots, pans and other things you might need if you want to cook for yourself (and a handy dishwasher, that will save you from the argument of "who's gonna do the dishes tonight").
About parking. Free parking can be found, but you might need to look for it a bit. I don't have a dedicated spot in a garage. However, paid parking spots are cheap and very close to the place. They are free during the night and cost less than a euro / hour during the day. Parking on Sunday is free almost everywhere in Vilnius. I've listed a bunch of these parking spots in the "Directions", which you get after the booking is confirmed.
Interaction with Guests
I will either be traveling or staying in my other place in Vilnius while you will visit the apartment, so I will be completely out of your hair. I will be reachable via the Airbnb message system or by phone if you have any questions or requests. My brother Lukas is always in Vilnius and will be able to handle issues in the unlikely event of any arising.
If you are new to Airbnb - don't worry. I'm not gonna bite. There are no stupid questions in life either - if something is unclear, ask :)
A lot of great bars, clubs and restaurants are in a walking distance from my place. One of the best restaurants in town - "Lauro Lapas", is just 2 minutes away. The best cocktail bar in town - "Alchemikas" (my opinion) is 5 minutes away. Scroll down to the Guidebook (Maps section) if you want to find a place that a local would recommend for you, so you don't end up in the touristy places.
The flat itself is not on a busy nightlife street, so while you have easy access to restaurants, bars and cafe's, it won't be crowded and noisy on the street.
There are a couple of green areas - namely Tauras Hill, Lukiškių Square, The Field and Reformatų Square to relax on a bench under the trees and read a book. Or have a picnic.
Getting around is easy. I do it mostly by foot, since almost anywhere you'll go won't take longer than 20 minutes. Cabs are cheap in Vilnius, you'll rarely get to pay more than 4 euro if you don't go out of the city center / old town. Other than that, there are numerous bus / trolley stations in the immediate vicinity that will take you to any corner of the town.
If you are into bikes, in the spring / summer / fall you can find cyclocity bikes by Tauras Hill for rent. Check out their website or inquire for more info.
Other Things to Note
If you have any special requests, write me an inquiry and I'll see what I can do about it.
Check the House Manual if you have any questions about operating anything in the apartment.
Check the Guidebook (scroll down to the Maps section) if you want my recommendations for places to go in Vilnius.
Obviously, be respectful to the neighbours, because they are nice people. They help to keep the surroundings of the building clean & safe (and expect the same attitude from you too). They won't get mad at you if you listen to some music in the midnight or early in the morning, if you don't get it up too loud.
There are a couple of things to note:
1. If you smoke, please use the ashtray in the balcony. Do not throw the cigarette butts on the ground. Smoking in the flat is forbidden.
2. If you finish the cigarette just before entering the building, please don't throw it on the ground by the door. Either bring it back home to the trash can on throw it on the street to the sewer.
3. Wipe your shoes when you enter the building. Do not bring dirt into the elevator / staircase, especially when it is raining outside.
4. Be nice, smile and say "hi" to the neighbours in the elevator :)
This flat is in a great location, about 5 mins walk to the shopping strip, and close to 10 mins down that street leads you to the starting point for some major sightseeing and the old town. If you enjoy bars and nightclubs the major strip is also just 5 mins walk, and the bus and train station are just a short bus ride away.
The inside is modern with a great view from the balcony day and night. Having a washer and dryer is a huge plus, and rare in Europe.
There are concerns with noise transfer from the young children next door, whose bedroom mirrors where you sleep. Not a big deal if spending your days away from the flat, but quite grating if spending significant time there.
There is also a nightclub across the street that creates a fair bit of street noise on weekend nights, as well as a boisterous bar crowd making their way back and forth on the street on the weekends. Though this didn't create an issue for me.
Overall, and especially due to the great location, I would recommend this flat for your stay in Vilnius.
Met Titas brother instead. Was nice showed me the apartment. As described in pictures fully. 5-10 mins walk to old town and nice restaurants nearby. Nice to stay for a few days :)
Really nice flat in the city centre of Vilnius. Everything was great, the view from the flat, the proximity of the museums and the cathedral...
The only flaw is the fact that the walls are very thin and neighbours have kids so you should not expect to sleep in.
Apart from that, I sincerely recommend this flat! :)
Très beau logement, grand et propre! Le frère de Titas nous attendait devant l'immeuble à notre arrivée et nous a très bien accueilli. Des documents et plans sur Vilnius sont également fournis.
Very cosy place, friendly host.
Good location, you can go anywhere in the old town by foot, and grab a kebab just behind the building ;)
I live in Vilnius & love this town!
I like to solve problems, meet smart people and travel to weird places. Or normal places. I enjoy discussions and how they shape my worldview.
