This was the most quaint apartment in the perfect location. The host Mimi and Fred were wonderful and very informative. The apartment was clean with all the amenities you need to cook yourself. We would definitely stay here again, and would recommend this apartment to our friends!
On arrival we received a very warm welcome from Mimi & Fred. The flat was very comfortable & cosy with the weather being a little cool. The many extras that were provided made our stay enjoyable & homely. The location made exploring the old city very easy with its many nooks & crannies. We parked the car at Les Italiens with a free bus delivering us nearby. We could easily have spent an whole week rather than the 4 nights, with still more to see. To each his own but we would recommend Mimi & Fred's flat.
We spent a perfect weekend at Mimi's and Fred's place in Avignon. The apartment is very cozy and has a great location in the heart of Avignon (right next to Place Pie and Les Halles). Shops, restaurants everything you need is close by. Mimi and Fred are perfect hosts and made us feel very welcome. We loved the complementary wine, cookies and marshmallows. :-) We would certainly stay there again and highly recommend this place to anybody who wants to visit Avignon.
Five stars, by far my most pleasant AirBnB experience to day. Both Mimi and Fred could not have been more welcoming along every step of the booking process, during our stay and as we left Avignon. They've clearly taken great pride in their most charming of apartments, visitors will appreciate the eye for detail shown in renovating - with new fixtures and old coming together to offer a classy and centrally located hideaway in the old town. Not only is the location very proximate to the city's sights, a small supermarket and multiple shops are within very easy walking distance. We quite appreciated the little touches: espresso making facilities, quality butter biscuits along with a selection of teas and infusions made available to us - a nice surprise. I truly have no hesitation in wholeheartedly endorsing Mimi and Fred, their offering is a rare gem in Avignon and those lucky enough to secure a reservation there are in for a treat.
Mimi and Fred could not have been more accommodating, from the moment we arrived Fred made us feel so welcome, giving us tips and obviously have worked hard to give a really homely feel to the place, it's a great spot, so close to everything you need in avignon and so comfortable to get back to after a day of wondering the streets.
I stayed here for 5 days and the trip in Avignon was awesome thanks to this house. Mimi and Fred greeted me so kindly, and Fred was a respectful man. The house impressed me a lot because of the clean, tidy room&kitchen&bathroom. Also I loved the decoration of this house which was full with christmas air. It was like a sweet childhood house. I strongly recommend this house!
We had a great stay at lovely Avignon. Mimi and Fred were warm and obliging hosts. Their apartment is only 10 minutes to the main road in the old city. So many places you can easily get to by bus or train if you wish to trip around. Or do a big day walk over the river around Villeneuve dAvignon like we did. The apartment has plenty of room. Thanks again to our hosts.
We had a good (email hidden)'s and Anthony's apartment. Although they could not be there themselves, one of their friends welcomed us at the apartment and showed us around. The apartment was clean, the bed was very comfortable and kitchen utensils were provided. A supermarket is right around the corner and open until 10pm, bakery shop is nearby as well. Unfortunately, it got quite noisy outside in the street during the evenings, but with the bedroom in the back it was okay. Note that only one duvet is available, which is fine for a couple, but may be inconvenient for non couples. Same counts for the missing bathroom door (a curtain instead).
We enjoyed and can recommend the restaurant L'Epice and Love very much - great and tasty food!!!
We had a wonderful stay at this apartment. The city is quaint and filled with history and character.
The apartment has a kitchen and living area perfect for feeling at home. The bed is comfy. Bathroom was clean and had everything you need. It had a great shower head! There is a grocery store just around the corner, and the apartment is so central, you can walk anywhere.
Anthony was totally wonderful to us. After getting lost in the city (as we drove), he patiently waited for us with his cute dog Toto. He went completely out of his way by then driving with us to the free parking at place des italien. Thank You!
Anthony seemed so proud of his city, and should be. He talked us through all of the sights and directions, and was there to help when needed.
One bit of advice would be to make sure you know where the parking area is if driving. There is little parking in the city centre due to the tiny medieval streets. The parking lot is free however, and only about 10-15 mins away so it's easy to get to, and free!
Highly recommended! Thanks Anthony and Toto!
Anthony and Zhuna were very friendly and accommodating regarding my early arrival which turned out to be later than expected due to a late bus and no internet connection. The apartment is delightful although the street does not look very attractive. There is a lockable door on the street and double locks on the internal door so I felt safe by myself. The apartment itself was very warm and evrything was clean and tidy. I feel it is ideal for 1-2 people. The kitchen although small is great for utilising the local produce at Les Halles (food heaven) which is in walking distance. The bathroom is also compact but the water is hot and plentiful in the shower and the bathroom is also warm. I loved the neighbourhood and it's variety of cafes, bars, boulangeries and patisseries. It is easier to see and experience everything on foot. My stay was cut short due to an oversight by the hosts but they were very helpful in correcting the situation including transporting me to my new accommodation and carrying my heavy luggage. I would stay again.
