This elegant château, built in the Directoire style stands in extensive landscaped grounds with a beautiful lake, clay tennis court and king-sized swimming pool. The spacious interior includes marble fireplaces, polished wood floors and a living room with two pianos! The large windows offer delightful views of the parkland grounds and the rolling Sarthe countryside beyond. Gourmet restaurants abound in the area, and nearby Bouloire boasts a master chocolatier as well as a 15th-century chateau. Children will enjoy the zoo at Pescheray, and Papea City with its Wild West village and mine train. Golf and horse riding available nearby. Historic Le Mans has a thriving shopping centre, superb cathedral and Automobile museum. The medieval streets, a hotch-potch of intricate Renaissance stonework, medieval half-timbering, sculpted pillars and beams and grand classical facades, are still encircled by the original 3rd and 4th century Gallo-Roman walls. The attractions of the Loire Valley is less than an hours drive.
