The formal dining room by the fireplace...there are few nights along the Bay when a fire isn't welcome.
Giuliana and Sandor could not have made us feel more at home. Our stay was perfect from the first moment to the last and passed by way too quickly. Our room was very spacious and impeccable and they made every effort to cater to us, from a lovely welcome glass of wine with cheese and crackers to the most awesome chocolate croissants for breakfast. If you stay here, make sure you have enough time to have a coffee with them and listen to their stories and recommendations. Worth more than any tour guide! We'll definitely be back on our next trip to SF.
We had a lovely time on our stay in the host's charming home. Sandor and Guiliana could not be more gracious and welcoming hosts. Sunday morning we awoke to the delicious scent of warm croissants, which were served with an array of mouthwatering jams, and the coffee was just right. I liked not having to worry about parking, and the fact that we were just minutes away from beautiful landmarks and a wide selection of restaurants. It always felt amazing leaving the home and catching that glimpse of the Golden Gate bridge.
We had a great time at Giuliana's and Sandor's beautiful house in San Francisco! They are wonderful hosts and we felt very welcome. They provided us with a good breakfast and gave us helpful tips what to do in SF. Their place is perfectly located just a few minutes away from the Golden Gate Bridge or Chestnut Street with lots of nice bars and restaurants.
Thank you for the wonderful time Giuliana and Sandor! It has been a pleasure to get to know you.
We were greeted after a long journey from the uk with a very warm welcome. An unexpected offer of cheese/meats and a glass of wine was most welcome despite our tiredness. Our hosts could not have made more effort to make our stay in SF a memorable one. We had a lovely cosy room and use of our own sink/wc and shared shower. An extremely comfortable bed! The location and parking make this an ideal place to stay...would highly recommend.
Our hosts were super warm and welcoming. The marina location was beautiful and perfect for exploring the city!
Our hosts were very helpful and accommodating, and they know all about the SF area. The house was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location is a short distance from the Golden Gate Bridge and just steps from the Palace of Fine Arts. We enjoyed our stay.
Sandor and Giuiliana were wonderful hosts! We were welcomed with wine and cheese and they made us feel like old friends. Their lovely home was in a great location within walking distance of the Golden Gate Bridge and Fisherman's Wharf. They also gave us some helpful tips of things to see in San Francisco! Thanks for a wonderful stay Sandor and Giuliana! It was great getting to know you!
About the Host, Sandor Miklos
My wife and I have lived in San Francisco for 40 years; prior to this, we lived in the Los Angeles area for nearly 10 years. I am originally from Hungary. I left when I was 16 in 1956. My wife, Giuliana, was born in Italy and grew up in Venezuela. For four decades, I managed our family’s pasta factory, Eduardo’s Pasta, in San Francisco. Giuliana, meanwhile was the CEO of a management company that specialized in non-profit organizations . Between the two us we speak four languages: Magyar, English, Italian and Spanish. We have traveled extensively in Europe and South America and welcome international and national guests. We love living in San Francisco and taking full advantage of the geographic, social and cultural activities it has to offer. Our home is I a perfect location to easily explore the city and its intriguing, diverse neighborhoods. As the long-time columnist in the San Francisco Chronicle, Herb Caen, once said, “One day, if I do go to heaven, I will look around and say, ‘It ain’t bad, but it ain’t San Francisco.’”
