The formal dining room by the fireplace...there are few nights along the Bay when a fire isn't welcome.
Sarah and I had the pleasure of staying at Sandor and Giuliana's for two nights. From the moment we arrived, they were so very welcoming and accomodating. After a wonderful nights sleep we awoke on Sunday morning to the smell of freshly baked croissants and tea which awaited us. Over breakfast Giuliana filled us in on all the current happenings of San Fran along with where to go and what to do during our short stay. They are located near a very popular street with plenty of restaurants and places to socialise, along with a 10-15 min walk to the Golden Gate Bridge. There is a Hop On/Hop Off bus stop right out front which was super handy for us, the same stop also services many public buses. The Palace of Fine Arts is know more than a 5 min walk from their place.
We had an early morning departure planned for Monday, without fail Giuliana had chocolate croissants baked and ready for us, after chatting over breakfast about American politics, Womens Football (Soccer)World Cup and how there are far too many American sports we set off on our next adventure.
Being our first AirBnB experience we were both slightly nervous and unsure of what to expect, however; right from the moment we met Sandor and Giuliana they did everything they could to make us feel like we were at home and had everything we needed. Thank you very much for a wonderful welcoming stay.
Sandor and Giuliana are very nice! They have a prime location for visitors in SF. We were able to walk to nearby destinations and left our car at their residence. The bed was very comfortable and the home was clean. They give us prepare delicious breakfast every day, and also help us to reserve the airport bus，Thank you！
It was a fantastic stay. Sandor's hospitality exceeded all expectations. He really did everything to make us feel at home and to help us with everything we needed. The room is very fine and clean, and the location is perfect at the marina. It was also very nice to talk in Italian and of Italy and it was really nice to hear his experiences. Unfortunately we could not know Giuliana but We hope to see you again one day.
Thanks for all
Sandor and Giuliana were wonderful hosts to us! They are great people and they have a prime location for visitors in SF. We were able to walk to nearby destinations and left our car at their residence. The bed was very comfortable and the home was clean. I have nothing but excellent things to say about this place and Sandor & Guiliana!
My sister and I felt very welcome during our stay in San Francisco. Our host Sandor was a pleasure to get to know. Both he and his wife showed us around their home and made us feel at ease with their conversation and sought to get to know us. Their home and the room is exactly as it appears in the pictures, but the experience with their kindness made it even better. The room we stayed in had plenty of space and the bed was incredibly comfortable.
This was our first time trying Airbnb and we were blessed with the most delightful hosts, Sandor and Giuliana. They could not have been more accommodating and their house was comfortable, beautiful and we immediately felt right at home.
The neighborhood was spectacular, able to walk to the Palace of Fine Arts, The Presido and many wonderful restaurants.
Waking to the smell of chocolate croissants and strong fresh coffee was an extravagance, as well as spending time with our hosts as they shared with us their farmer’s market, neighborhood and joy of life.
I think the best part of this experience is the interaction between Sandor and Giuliana, as we quickly became old friends. We travel often to the City, but this trip was enriched deeply because of meeting and spending time with our hosts. We will return often!

Sandor and Giuliana were very welcoming and offered some great suggestions of things to do and see whilst visiting. They cooked delicious breakfast for us and their place was in one of the best locations, close to everything. Highly recommend staying here and we will be back!
About the Host, Sandor Miklos
My wife and I have lived in San Francisco for 40 years; prior to this, we lived in the Los Angeles area for nearly 10 years. I am originally from Hungary. I left when I was 16 in 1956. My wife, Giuliana, was born in Italy and grew up in Venezuela. For four decades, I managed our family’s pasta factory, Eduardo’s Pasta, in San Francisco. Giuliana, meanwhile was the CEO of a management company that specialized in non-profit organizations . Between the two us we speak four languages: Magyar, English, Italian and Spanish. We have traveled extensively in Europe and South America and welcome international and national guests. We love living in San Francisco and taking full advantage of the geographic, social and cultural activities it has to offer. Our home is I a perfect location to easily explore the city and its intriguing, diverse neighborhoods. As the long-time columnist in the San Francisco Chronicle, Herb Caen, once said, “One day, if I do go to heaven, I will look around and say, ‘It ain’t bad, but it ain’t San Francisco.’”
