The Space

I live in a 4 bedroom place, with two other roommates. Both great guys who are really laid back. We have a spare room which we usually use for work, and to play music in.

There's a very comfortable futon, and the apartment has access to a porch which you'll have access to. The porch gets great sunlight and is a perfect way to start your morning.

The room is absolutely quiet and some mornings you can hear birds chirping outside. The futon folds out into a very comfortable full bed. We put a foam mattress over it, with bedsheets and comforter to make it even more comfortable. You'll absolutely feel at home.

Once you're here, the place is yours. We consider you a room mate so you can help yourself to anything that's in the fridge. We live very close to a lot of great bars and restaurants. You can always find something to do, and it's very easy to get into the city. Just two stops away, takes less than 10 minutes.

Looking forward to having you.

  • Didn't meet Joe but the other two were perfect hosts. Apartment was fine, as was the area. No complaints at all!

  • Brilliantly located, really close to the subway, and a great neighbourhood to hang out in anyway.

  • Joe and his room mates were very friendly and flexible. The metro is in the nearest vicinity. I can recommend Joe's room to everyone who likes to stay with young and cordial guys.

  • This is my second time staying with Joe and his roommates. The guys are terrific, fun to chat with, and the place couldn't be nicer. It is close to the subway, a few minutes to Manhattan no issue. I spent one of my evenings in New York just hanging out on the rooftop talking to a couple of the roommates. All the conveniences that one needs are just footsteps away. There is a great bagel shop downstairs so you don't have to go far for breakfast, and a nice restaurant is right around the corner if you are looking for a nice meal and some drinks - and it stays open pretty late as well. The bed and room are comfy, and there is a nice desk and place to hang your clothes. The place is very clean and if you need to throw a few brews or something in the fridge, the guys certainly don't mind. Highly recommended. Great job guys.

  • The location is great! Right off the L-line, so it was easy to move around Manhattan and Brooklyn. Close to Bedford Ave in Williamsburg, witch is great area to go out for drinks, have something to eat or shop.
Easy to get the keys, and everything when quite flawless, so it made my stay in New York a great one.
The guys you're sharing the apartment with are helpfull, easy going og nice.
All in all a good first time experience with Airbnb.

  • Great! The room is very comfortable and very silent.
    It is also super clean.

People that were in the apartment are really friendly.

The neighborhood is great: there is a deli just at the bottom of the apartment, the premises are nice and they look like the original manhattan spirit from 10 years ago :D

  • Joe is a great host, who's friendly and easy to talk to. He's a coffee connoisseur who meticulously makes his own pour-over coffee in the morning. He even made me a cup of very delicious coffee. My flight didn't land in NYC until 1AM and Joe was able to accommodate with flexible check-in time.

The cleanliness of the place could improve a little though.
