Great stay! We were a bit early but no problem as the key was waiting for us and we got right in. The cottage was warm and inviting. A welcome pack including whiskey and cognac was waiting. Everything was of high standards , the china dishes fluffy towels, crystal glasses and even unscratched Teflon fry pans. Maura was always around to help with any questions . She gave us wonderful history lessons and shared books from her library.
The cottage is centrally located and is easy to find. Loved the heated beds. An oil fired stove gave the cottage a cozy feeling.
This was our first stay with airbnb and was a terrific experience. Maura was very kind and welcoming and most helpful in getting us settled and providing information on the local area. The cottage was absolutely perfect (Magical was the word my daughter used) and everything was in perfect order. We will definately be staying here during our next visit!!
We were welcomed warmly by our host as we arrived for a 4 night stay in this beautiful cottage in peaceful country surroundings. The hospitality was generous with home made soda bread and local plum jam. For a non whiskey drinker normally, the superb Irish whiskey was a real treat in its mellow palate.
Our host was so helpful with local guidance, and the Horse and Jockey down the road (in the village of the same name) an added bonus for a drink and a meal out. The cottage is cosy and well appointed. Close to motorway access and a range of interesting historical sites. All to be recommended ~ wifi marginal but could be used at the Horse and Jockey. Thankyou! Catherine and Pip from New Zealand
With the warmest welcome ever in a long AirBnB-career we started into our wedding weekend near Cashel.
A fine glass of superb irish whiskey, a handmade bread, local jam and butter waited for us in this lovely and cosy cottage. We had plenty of space for the three of us and couldn´t have enjoyed our stay more.
Even a babybed was organised two days before arrival!
An absolutely recommendable place for everyone to visit the cashel area.
I grew up in this area and rented the cottage with my wife & 2 children while visiting family who still live nearby. The cottage is very nice - impeccably appointed and the hosts were very accommodating - the place was clean, warm and they welcomed us with some essentials (soda bread, milk, tea & local jam) - all very much appreciated after tiring travel with small children.
The cottage is actually quite bright with natural light & tastefully decorated - you can feel at home very quickly.
The location is also a good centre point for the main roads in all directions (not necessarily a given in Ireland). This was my first AirBnB experience and was very positive. We'll definitely look to stay there again.
we left a note on the kitchen table the old fashioned way....it shared with our hosts the value of having such an exquisite period cottage to spend time in as a family...
