Jan was a great host and his apartment met all of our needs. It was comfortable and well-located, and Jan went out of his way to make sure we were enjoying our stay. He recommended a wonderful Norwegian restaurant to us (Asylet), and it was so delicious, we ate there two nights in a row. Jan was also kind enough to meet us at the bus station when we arrived and walk us to the apartment himself. I would definitely recommend his place to a friend.
Stayed for one night en route to an xc skiing trip to the Hardangervidda. The apartment was close and very easy to find from both the bus station and Oslo S train station. Jan greeted us at the door and gave us a full briefing of the apartment and local neighbourhood.
A very pleasant apartment, location and neighbourhood. Some nice places to eat close by too.
Jan was an excellent host with very clear directions and instructions. He was so kind to let us store our bags there when our flight arrived early. I also had forgotten something and Jan was very responsive and helpful in letting me go back to track it down the next day. Jan messaged to check how everything was during our stay as well. The place is incredible and very comfy!
Excellent appartment for a couple with kids. With three or four very good value for money. The second bedroom is not really for couples. Kitchen is great with basic groceries provided - always a nice touch. Neighborhood is, well, very practical, especially for a short stay - supermarket downstairs, central station around the corner, harbor front 10 minutes walk. But apart from that, not the nicest place in Oslo
Thanks for your constructive feedback. According to your suggestions we've upgraded the matress in the smaller bedroom, making it more comfortable for couples to sleep on. We've always received excellent feedback on the location (please refer to the more than 100 positive reviews below), but there is indeed some construction going on right now in the area which will be finished early this spring. Many buildings and streets are beeing upgraded at the moment and even more cafes and restaurants will open soon.
