This is a beautiful apartment in a quiet area. It's a studio style place on the second floor of Ivania's building (she lives downstairs with her family). It's quite nice inside: very clean, A/C, flatscreen, a safe (we actually locked our stuff in the safe on accident so make sure you know how it works before you do something stupid -_-). Like most places in Costa Rica, it's a little hard to find the first time around, but once you do, it's easy to spot. I will say that it's quite a ways back on some rough road. We had a 4WD suv, and the weather was good, so this wasn't really an issue for us, but it's worth considering. Ivania is REALLY nice and clearly wants everything to be perfect for your stay. The apartment is really close to the park and to the restaurants and bars on the way to Manuel Antonio. Recommended.
Ivania and her family were extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. The apartment is quite spacious for a single traveller or couple. However, a couple of words of advice; make sure you have a gps of some kind, be it a sat nav device or Roaming on your smartphone (Waze worked well here) in order to find the apartment, and a 4x4 to reach the house is an advantage. It's not easy to find nor access due to the unpaved roads but once you're there it's very peaceful, secluded and comfortable.
We really enjoyed our stay at Ivania's apartment, everything is a brand new and super clean, and has a kitchen, which was exactly what we needed. Much better than any hotel at this price. The apartment is 15 mins walk from the bus stop to Manuel Antonio (which is cheap around 280 colons that are 50 cents, a cab will cost you around 6 dollars from the same bus stop) it's a nice walk, but you will need a flash light at night time. If you have a high clearance vehicle, you won't have any problems driving to the apartment. But we had a compact regular car, which was a bit challenging but definitely doeable in dry season. I would highly recommend to stay at Ivania's apartment.
Ivania is very responsive in written communication.
Very nice appartement, everything just as in the description. Fast support when we have a problem.
Very nice and new apartment!
Beautiful location, away from the tourist scenes, but close enough to all main attractions of MA. Clean and private. Host is attentive and response quickly.
Ivania is the best!
These are fantastic new apartments upstairs from her. She is really willing to go the extra mile for you to help you understand where to go how to get there and what to do.
The room is nicely furnished with everything you might need including AC.
This is probably easier of an apartment if you have a car, as it's not quite at the main entrance to the park, but if you're up for an adventure to find a new vista and meet a new friend, this place is perfect!

I am from Costa Rica and love to travel. My favourite country is Switzerland.
Before starting my own business I had worked in 2 major hotels and a Spanish language school her in Manuel Antonio. My hobbies are reading (Paulo Coelho) and cine (all kinds of humor). I also like cooking, traditional Costa Rica food.
