With three double bedrooms and a spacious kitchen area, our Cottage is just a short walk from the main house with incomparable views over the walled gardens and pond. The coach house is a perfect base for families or groups of friends wanting to explore the glories of the parkland and associated nature reserves. Located in the grounds it offers the space and freedom of a home-from-home but with the convenience of the hall on your door step.

The space

The Couch Houses are within the ground of Saltmarshe Hall which is one of East Yorkshire's least known stately homes.

Built in 1825 and set in 17 acres of beautiful gardens and tranquil parkland it's a wonderful place to stay.

Guest access

Guests have access to the Hall's Gardens which include a beautiful walled garden and tennis court.

With prior arrangement the bar in the main hall can be opened.

The neighborhood

The Couch Houses are set in acres of land and overlook the River Ouse. It's a beautiful setting where guests are encouraged to discover the gardens.

Getting around

Despite being a Hamlet Saltmarshe has its own train station.

With prior arrangement the hosts are happy to collect and drop off guests at local train stations including Howden and Goole.
