Chuck was a very welcoming host, his property was beautiful and the new cabins he is building are going to be incredible. Cool location right in the middle of coffee farms and close to kona boys surf shack and the beach. Accommodations are currently modest and shared but you get what you pay for, all in all a positive experience.
This place was bitchin! Cabin was neat and clean. Bed sheets smelled amazing. The outdoor shower had unlimited hot water! Great View!
our host went above and beyond to make our experience perfect! He gave us the best tips on where to check out! Great swimming/snorkeling spots! I am so grateful that we stayed there!
Kona Chuck and his cabins are precisely why I got into Airbnb. The two are equally dynamic, and old school. Very accommodating. Sparse amenities, but with epic outdoors at your disposal, modern conforts aren't to be missed. There's amazing coffee, awesome animals, and an incredibly kind host, ie Chuck. The experience defined our weekend getaway to the Big Is. We took out boat, fished, snorkeled. If you're into adventure travel, Kona Chuck is not to be passed up. Will definitely "hele" back soon. --J
Great guy, lots of Aloha. The place is rustic with killer views! We would go back.
Really cool place. Great location, stunning view, great local coffee - the owner grows it himself, fresh fruit... Bed is convenient, don't expect any luxury, but plenty of Hawaiian hospitality.
Great place, great guy and great views on a great island. Would recommend to stay there!
Charles is a great and friendly guy! When traveling on low budget, we wished for nothing more than a bad, and that's something you can get here. The cabin is simply furnished, but it was all we needed. Charles gave us a tour through his garden and every morning invited us with his own Cona coffee, which was absolutely amazing! I definitely recommend staying here, just be prepared you may encounter some bugs, since it's quite a wilderness (we killed in the evening a few roaches).
