Interaction with Guests
Rarely do we interact with our guests. Typically, when you're here at Carrie's Cottage, Gary and I are visiting another interesting place!
Quiet neighborhood with most neighbors keeping to themselves.
Most places can be accessed by walking or riding a bike.

Wonderful stay. A great value, close to the Village and comfortable. We'd book it again.
It was easy to find Carrie's Cottage, the directions were excellent. The listing description was accurate. The neighborhood felt safe. It was easy to use the lock box and have a code to share instead of worrying about losing a key. The home was clean and welcoming. I felt like I had visited this house all my life. I was very comfortable. I highly recommend staying here.
We had a great experience. Plenty of room for our family of four. We received an email about the lockbox a few days before arrival. Would recommend If coming to Arroyo Grand/Pismo Beach area.
Gary and Carrie were great hosts. They contacted us beforehand to make sure everything was in order. Once we were there, everything was very charming and clean. Good directions were left as to how to use everything. We were also contacted during our stay to make sure it was going well. Great place!
Carrie's cottage is spacious and bright. It is very well located for visits to Pismo Beach, San Luis Obispo and the Central Coast wineries. most of the house and linens were clean, but the kitchen could use a thorough cleaning.
As noted by others, for those sensitive to traffic noise, the house is on a busy secondary street and only a 1/4 mi. (500 m.) from Highway 101. Only the back bedroom has some quiet. Communications were a bit challenging - despite emails, we didn't hear back until late the night before arrival as to key arrangements.
Thanks Gary and Carrie. Good value for the area.
We spent 6 nites at Carrie's Cottage. It was truly a "home away from home", clean, comfortable (especially the beds!), homey, and very nicely decorated with all the conveniences. The location is a real plus, short drive to the beach, shopping, or walk to downtown Old Arroyo Village. Also, secure with the police station 1 block away! Parking is behind the house, through a gate fence. A small "con" is the TV is run through the internet, Roku. There was no manual and we had to call Gary, who patiently walked us through the process. Also, had only 2 towels for the 3 of us. These are 2 small "cons" that did not detract from our very delightful stay at Carrie's Cottage. Everything else was all "Pro". The only suggestion we have is bringing back the house manual to acquaint people with the cottage and the TV access. Thanks Gary and Carrie you have a lovely home, we enjoyed our stay, and look forward to our next stay.
Comfortable beds. Great parking in the back for larger vehicles. Good location - minutes from the beach, which was our destination, and a short easy walk to a very cute downtown with lots of good restaurants.
