Lovely little house, perfect for getting away and relaxing.
You will have access to the house and all that is within except for a cupboard that is locked where we keep personal items. The garage is not accessible to the guests.
Rarely do we interact with our guests. Typically, when you're here at Carrie's Cottage, Gary and I are visiting another interesting place!
Quiet neighborhood with most neighbors keeping to themselves.
Most places can be accessed by walking or riding a bike.
The house is near Highway 101. You can hear traffic driving by. It is not terribly loud and most people do not mind.

My stay here was 100% positive! I stayed here with my girlfriend and my 1 year old dog for 4 days, and have nothing but great memories. The cottage was plenty spacious for us, and provided everything we needed from a full kitchen stocked with everything you would need i.e. spices, utensils, etc, to plenty of towels, soap, shampoo, and everything in between. They even had dog food and other pet supplies for us to use! Even though I brought my own, it was something I appreciated. Overall, a wonderful experience and definitely can't wait to come back!
My wife and I loved our stay at Carrie's Cottage! The house was cozy with very comfortable beds and all the marks needed for a weekend getaway. Clean sheets were set out for us when we got there, along with plenty of towels and other amenities. Not to mention we loved the couches in the living room.
In short, this is a perfect place to make home base for a weekend in wine country and Gary and Carrie it feel like just staying at a good friends place. Can't wait to come back again!
My husband and I were in the area for work and felt so lucky to find Carrie's Cottage. Much more comfortable than a hotel room, so easy to walk to town or just to get out and take a nice long walk. Convenient to grocery stores, restaurants, and the beach. Loved that it was so bright and airy. The cottage was very clean and had everything needed for a relaxing stay. We have already booked the cottage for a second visit and would recommend it to our friends and family.
My friends and I had a wonderful time at Carrie's Cottage. The place is spacious, lovely, clean and pretty much matches the description in the profile. The place has two bedrooms, and a really comfy couch in the living room, so it can essentially sleep 5 comfortably. The beds were soft and cozy: great sleep.
The hosts were nice and welcoming: even though they couldn't meet us when we arrived, they left easy instructions for us to follow. The next day, they popped in and dropped off some homemade cookies for us -- really sweet, in addition to the bottle of wine!
Bathroom: clean and spacious. The kitchen has all the amenities and little things like paper towers, plastic cutlery and paper plates: so useful. The living room has a great couch (we watched the NFC Championship game there) and a TV with cable, and connected to Netflix, hulu plus, etc. The backyard is lovely: there is an old tree lit up with white led lights overlooking a lawn with some patio furniture, prefect for early morning coffee in the sun.
The location is excellent. Within a block, there is a Bank of America. Within two blocks, you reach a little strip of stores, bars, diners and (best of all) an ice cream shop.
What a fun time we had! The house was just a short 2 block walk to the old historic village where there were lots of cute shops and many restaurants. We were only there for the weekend, so ate out for lunches and dinner, but the kitchen was very nicely stocked. We took our granddaughters to Pismo, which was close by.
We can definitely recommend this, and hope to use it again in the future.
