  • I stayed at Lindsay's place during a short trip to Santa Barbara. The room was spacious and exactly what I was looking for. I loved the rainforest type shower as well. Lindsay's place was a short drive to downtown Santa Barbara and was very easy to get to.

  • Lindsay accommodated our last minute request. We made it same day at 11am. She was flexible with our check in time. Initially we thought we'd be there at 6pm, but LA friday traffic brought us into town at 7pm, so we had to go directly to our appointment. We ended up checking in at 11:30pm.

THE GOOD: This is the ultimate space for people traveling with dogs. Her back yard is huge and since the home sits in a hilly area, it has many levels and my dog spent so much time frolicking in all the foliage and climbing around the inclines. The other two house dogs were great playmates. Very nice bathroom. Totally private room. Easy going atmosphere.

THE BAD: There was a miscommunication snafu and we could not gain entry to the house. We kept calling and texting Lindsay, but never got a response. Eventually we pounded on the front door. Finally, about 30 minutes after we arrived, a roommate let us in. We felt bad for waking people up. It's a pet friendly home so there is a pet "odor" to the house. Not a great place if you are a clean freak or allergic to animals.

  • I enjoyed my stay with Lindsay at her lovely home. Very comfortable and great location. She was very responsive to my questions before arrival and made it a breeze when I got there.

  • Lindsays place was just what I was looking for. A nice spacious room and bathroom. The house itself has an eclectic mix of decor and feel which I also enjoyed. The experience as a whole was very easy going. Thanks!

  • Awesome little house! Had a great, relaxing of time with plenty of privacy.

  • Had to get a last minute room for my mom's destination wedding for myself and grandma. Lindsay was very accommodating and worked with me to get us the room. The room was as pictured but it really needs to be cleaned. I am not sure if it was because it was a last minute booking. I am not sure of sheets had been changed. There is a shared bathroom, also not very clean, with a door in the bedroom. There are signs on door reminding folks to leave door facing shared living space always unlocked. Clearly a common mistake due to the several signs.
My grandma made such mistake and while we were sleeping, with no knock or warning, a lady (Lindsay) I presume, barges in to unlock bathroom door in our room saying some admonishment for leaving it locked. Not to mention some loud argument she was having with another tenant who seemed to be unaware of our presence.
The house is cute but very unclean and with a smell I still can't get out of nose. Def. do not stay if you have allergies. Maybe this place is ok if you are a college student and or cleanliness is not a priority. This is the dirtiest place I gave rented from many at Airbnb.

    Response from Lindsay K.:

cristina states that she has stayed in "many" airbnb spaces, however on her profile she only has 1 review as a guest..regardless, she contacted me requesting a reservation the night before at 9PM, asking several questions that were already clearly stated in the ad. she then requested to check-in at 10AM when the normal check-in time is at 4PM. the room was adequately cleaned and prepared for her. the bathroom was clean as well. as stated in the ad, this bathroom is shared with one other roomate and therefore there are several signs reminding guests to leave door to common area unlocked. when my roomate returned from work around 11PM and needed to use the toilet, the door was locked, and my roomate then knocked on their bedroom door to politely ask them to open it. they did not answer the door and my roomate was then forced to enter the bathroom through their bedroom, luckily they left their bedroom door unlocked. it was their negligence in not unlocking the bathroom door to the common area that caused this to happen. im unclear of the "loud argument" cristina is referring to, or the smell--as no one has mentioned this in the past and guests/visitors typically compliment the fragrance of my home. im sorry cristina did not enjoy her stay, perhaps she would have better off staying at a hotel.

  • Sophia and I were looking for a relaxing, quiet get away and this was a great place for it!

  • Lindsay was very prompt in responding and welcomed us to a lovely, clean bedroom and bathroom.

In this case bnb referred only to the bed part, but we were able to put our food in the refrigerator.

  • Lindsay was great very welcoming and accommodating. This was my 1st airbnb experience so I didn't really know what to expect. I was a little put off by the overflowing trash cans and dirty dishes in the sink. The bathroom and shower were amazing my room was super comfortable but judging by the kitchen and trash cans I had some doubts. But overall I had a great weekend and felt as comfortable as if I were another roommate.
