Completely renovated in the spring of 2026, this is the biggest, most luxurious container cabin we have ever made. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, spacious common room/kitchen, deck, fire pit, outdoor pizza oven, outdoor shower, stunning slate cliff hemming it in, soaking tub, full size kitchen. Ready for families, two couples, and anyone looking to unplug and reconnect with nature.

**Please note: Reviews posted before July 2026 refer to the original cabin that once occupied this site. Cabin One has since been completely rebuilt as an entirely new 640-square-foot, two-bedroom, two-bath luxury retreat with modern amenities.

Nestled at the foot of the Catskill High Peaks, this one-of-a-kind shipping container cabin combines modern design, handcrafted details, and complete comfort in the heart of New York’s Hudson Valley. Built from two 40-foot high-cube containers that overlap to create a dramatic central living space, the cabin offers a spacious and thoughtfully designed retreat for families, couples, or friends seeking both adventure and relaxation.

The layout features two private bedroom suites on either end of the cabin, each with large 5-by-7-foot picture windows that frame the surrounding landscape. The primary suite includes a private deck, a slate-tiled en suite bathroom, soaking tub, and shower. The guest suite has its own bathroom and direct access to an outdoor deck. Throughout the cabin, handmade pendant lights, custom sconces, and warm natural materials create a welcoming atmosphere.

The central great room features a fully equipped kitchen with butcher-block countertops, a large farmhouse sink, electric range, refrigerator, and dining table that comfortably seats six. A spacious Burrow sofa invites guests to gather, relax, and enjoy the views. High-speed internet, full utilities, and a Mitsubishi mini-split system provide year-round comfort.

Outside, a large garden planted with native trees and shrubs surrounds the cabin. A slate patio includes a fire ring, outdoor kitchen, dining area, and wood-fired pizza oven, creating the perfect setting for long evenings outdoors. An outdoor shower crafted from timber harvested on the property offers a memorable way to start or end the day.

Just steps from the cabin, a dramatic 15-foot-high slate cliff stretches along the property, creating a striking natural backdrop. Located only 15 minutes from Saugerties, Woodstock, Kingston, the Hudson River, and countless hiking trails, the cabin is an ideal basecamp for exploring the Catskills.
