Wow! This was a great home, with a very warm welcome from Ckori and Rafael! We had a rough start to this vacation, working through booking airline tickets, etc., and they were super flexible and patient with me, as I adjusted dates a couple times before it was all settled. Then Rafael helped us with airport transportation who waited 2 hours past our projected arrival time, due to delayed flight and long immigration lines (craziest I've seen anywhere!). The house was set up with flowers arranged on fancy folded towels on all the beds, and bottled water and a snack waiting for us also. The house looks better than the pictures (which isn't always the case in Airbnb...), but it is in Thailand, so the neighborhood is still improving (lots of construction everywhere in Phuket, which is still developing, so an experience for sure). Everyone around the house and Surin beach were super friendly, even the people that didn't want anything from us (so we felt genuinely welcome). No laundry in the house, but the laundry service 3 doors up the road was really friendly and reasonably priced (way better than doing it yourself while on vacation). Rafael took me on a quick tour of the city on his scooter, where he helped me get a sim card for my phone (300 baht--about $10 us--got a card and minutes enough to call and text Rafael all week with questions and if we needed anything). He had flyers of all the attractions in the house, and a tour guide book of Phuket. He also told us about everything we should see and what we should avoid, and loaned us some of his stuff that we didn't have. Our children really enjoyed the pool, as a break from the ocean, it was big enough to keep my older kids entertained, but not too big for my 11-year-old (about 4 feet deep and filtered through two decorative elephant fountains, it looks really nice). Surin beach is literally only 5 minutes away, so we spent most of our time there. Surin beach is just right, plenty for everyone to do, but not so busy that you can't enjoy it. The Lemon Grass (Thai) massage parlor (located half way between the house and the beach) was really nice, as was their restaurant up stairs (their pineapple chicken fried rice comes served in half a pineapple...fantastic!). Two more doors down from the massage parlor is a pharmacy with an English speaking owner (most people could speak english...). Another couple doors from that was a general store/tourist stop, with taxi, scooter rental, ATM, tours, nicknacks, (alcohol--we were there over new years, so got our champaign from them); I don't remember the name of that place, but they saved us a gob of money over the listed tour prices (2,000 baht versus 3,000 baht per person on our Phi Phi island trip, for example). Tip: Thai people really appreciate return customers, so you'll get a deal if you...
We enjoyed our stay in Ckori and Rafa's villa. Prior to our stay, Rafa was in touch with us to offer any help to make our stay comfortable. They met us when we arrived and really made us feel at home. They even encouraged us to use the cooking ingredients in their kitchen!
There are restaurants that are walking distance from the villa so food is not a problem. For those who want to relax with a massage, along the street is a massage place where you can request them to come to the villa for no extra charge. The Surin beach is just 5 minutes away though during our stay, the waves are too strong for a swim.
Overall, this is a great place for a family vacation.
I just returned from a wonderful stay at Rafa and Ckori's place. They were super friendly and helpful, offering advice on things to do in the area. There were 7 of us (2 children and 5 adults) and the place was plenty big even without the pullout sofa in the living room. There was a baby cot in the downstairs bedroom that was great for my 1 year old.
Rafa and Ckori live close-by and dropped by to check on us, but never felt intrusive. We had them arrange a taxi for arrival and departure at the airport that was convenient.
Also, before we arrived they emailed and asked us if we needed them to buy us some food which started us off on a good note. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking and eating in with a large group. It's an easy walk to the beach, retaurants, massage etc. or a short taxi ride to other spots.
I recommend staying here for sure :)
I booked the suite with the bathroom and terrace upstairs for 6 nights.
Ckori and Rafael are really nice and friendly hosts.
Their comfortable house they have spruced themselves to new, is very cute, well-decorated, where you can easily relax and feel good with the terrace and the pool.
It is also well located, very close to 2 beautiful beaches (5 min walk from Surin beach and 15 min walk from a more quiet one Bang Tao) and to all accommodations.
So I really recommend their place, you won't be disappointed, for sure !
We absolutely loved our stay at Ckori and Rafa's home. It was clean and spacious. The kitchen was well equipped. The beds were very comfortable. The towels were large, fluffy and absorbant. There was one bathroom on the main floor and two en-suite bathrooms upstairs. The TV is large and good quality. It was easy for us to connect our own hard drive with shows for the children and we took advantage of their 3D movie collection. It was a short walk up the street to the beach with a Family Mart along the way (note: this Family Mart was of higher caliber than the Family Mart's you find in Shanghai which I basically refuse to patron). There is also a pharmacy an even shorter walking distance for restocking on sunblock. In this part of Phuket, all the hotels are across the road from the beach, so if you want a beach chair with umbrella, you need to pay daily for the privilege from the restaurant servicing that section of beach even if you are staying at a hotel. For us they ranged from 200-300 thb for two chairs. The servers move the umbrellas around to keep the sun off of your chairs. This was very important as our two year old often napped on the beach chairs.
Ckori and Rafa arranged our airport transfer in a comfortable van.
Все отлично. В будущем, если буду на Сурине с большой компанией, также остановлюсь у Рафаэля.

About the Host, Ckori And Rafa
We are a couple who like to travel a lot. We also like to meet people from other countries and learn from them and their cultures.
We like nature, music, cooking, movies, theater, art and design, but on top of all of these, we like people.
We were raised Catholics but we are not religious: however, we are very spiritual and we believe that not only do our actions have consequences on ourselves, but they also affect the lives of every other living being. So we try to maximize the positive effects we could impose and minimize the negative ones.
We rent 2 rooms in our house, not for business but to help pay our rent, we will be sharing all the common areas of the house and hopefully we can spend some time together. However, now we are extremely busy cooking in our small restaurant near our house.
