My "Quilt" room is in the basement but has large, east-facing windows, so there is plenty of light. Separate/private & keyed entrance to this bedroom. Separate 1/2 bath; however your shower is upstairs in my home.
Most guests enjoy the private entrance and private 1/2 bathroom, so that they don't feel underfoot. And many enjoy using my convenient kitchen on the main floor. I offer another guestroom (the "Pineapple" room / see last pic) with double bed & a couch that converts to a single bed, which may be more comfortable for 2 single people, or if you're traveling with a child.
Available to guests: kitchen & all cooking facilities, living room, & dining room. Shower upstairs on 2nd floor. Winter road conditions: I live about 1/2 kilometer up a snowy road; although I drive a 2-WD Prius, I have really good snow tires, and most residents on my road drive all-wheel drive vehicles...just saying.
Interaction with Guests
I welcome new friends to my home. Life is great here in Wilson! Anyone who stays here will love it.
Burcher Road is quiet, and a pure Jackson Hole experience. My home is close (±8 miles) to JH Ski Resort, south boundry of GTNP, & the town of Jackson. "Jackson Hole" is the name of our 35 mile long valley, in which I live at the SW corner.
the START (Southern Teton Area Rapid Transit) STOP is just 2.5 miles away; with routes to the Ski Area (Teton Village,) Jackson, and the JAC Airport. Bike paths are common with more being built every year.
Other Things to Note
If it's convenient, I love it when guests strip their sheets/towels and just leave them on the "church pew" in the room. Help yourselves to any consumables in the house. You are welcome to use my kitchen and everything in it. I love to keep my/our carbon footprint to a minimum.
Jane made us feel very welcome at her lovely home. It is just as you would imagine an ideal cozy mountain home retreat to be: warm, "woody" and with a beautiful view to the surrounding forests and mountains. Sitting in the living room with the wood furnace on was very relaxing. The location is not far from Jackson, it is best to arrive in your own car. In the snow season, which can cover even late March, be warned that at times it is difficult to drive up, or down, the last 200m up the forested hill after a snowfall in a rental without snow tires. But, in even under that condition, it is ok to leave the car close to the main highway until the snow melts or the road is cleared. Again: one of the Airbnb gems.
Great little place to stay! Jane was very accommodating; although I was not around much to run into her. She left access to the house and anything I needed! Very clean and warm! (It was kinda cold at night) I would recommend staying with Jane at anytime!! Thank you Jane!!! See you on the next trip!
The room was a quaint and cozy abode in a traditional cabin conveniently located to a lot of activities in Jackson. I went skiing for two days, and visited Teton National Park, both of which I received a lot of great advice from the host. Jane went above and beyond to make me feel welcome (even inviting me to a dinner party with her friends!). Due to Jane's meticulous attention to detail and zealous hospitality, I felt I experienced a far more authentic visit to Wyoming than I would have at a hotel. I really enjoyed my stay, would come again, and recommend to anyone else.
I loved this stay at Jane's home and would return in a heartbeat, were my travels to take me to the Jackson area again. The home is beautiful, smells of cedar, sits on the side of a hill (yep better have 4 wheel drive in the winter). Jane wasn't home when I arrived but she took great care to communicate all that was necessary about the home and I immediately felt at home. Greeted by magpies and the distant call of coyotes. The room was spacious, the bed was comfy. Very quiet. Jane is gracious as a host.
Ken and I both had a wonderful visit to Wilson, Wy. We had a private room in a mountain setting. Jane allowed us free access to her comfty clean home. She was a wonderful host who provided travel and tourist information which we took advantage of. If we return to WY, we would definitely return to this airbnb home. Thanks, Jane, for your kind hospitality.
Jane is very nice, friendly and hospitality. She shared anything we need to us, we were very appreciated. The dog and cats are so cute. We are so glad to stay with them one night.
The four nights in Jane s house were great! She is such a kind and warm person and gave us information about everithing. The place is so wonderful in the midle of nature and the guestroom couldnt be more comfortable. We enjoyed soo much!! Thank you jane for everything!!
