About this listing
My "Quilt" room is in the basement but has large, east-facing windows, so there is plenty of light. Separate/private & keyed entrance to this bedroom. Separate 1/2 bath; however your shower is upstairs in my home.
Most guests enjoy the private entrance and private 1/2 bathroom, so that they don't feel underfoot. And many enjoy using my convenient kitchen on the main floor. I offer another guestroom, the "Pineapple" room (see last pic) with double bed & a couch that converts to a single bed, which may be more comfortable for 2 single people, or if you're traveling with a child.
Available to guests: kitchen & all cooking facilities, living room, & dining room. Shower upstairs on 2nd floor. Winter road conditions: I live about 1/2 kilometer up a snowy road; although I drive a 2-WD Prius, I have really good snow tires, and most residents on my road drive all-wheel drive vehicles...just saying.
Interaction with Guests
I welcome new friends to my home. Life is great here in Wilson! Anyone who stays here will love it.
Burcher Road is quiet, and a pure Jackson Hole experience. My home is close (±8 miles) to JH Ski Resort, south boundry of GTNP, & the town of Jackson. "Jackson Hole" is the name of our 35 mile long valley, in which I live at the SW corner.
the START (Southern Teton Area Rapid Transit) STOP is just 2.5 miles away; with routes to the Ski Area (Teton Village,) Jackson, and the JAC Airport. Bike paths are common with more being built every year.
Other Things to Note
If it's convenient, I love it when guests strip their sheets/towels and just leave them on the "church pew" in the room. Help yourselves to any consumables in the house. You are welcome to use my kitchen and everything in it. I love to keep my/our carbon footprint to a minimum.
Jane was very accommodating. It was a pleasure to stay in her rustic type house, set in a beautiful location, a rural up-scale neighborhood of suburban Wilson, very near to Jackson Hole. We had a bedroom with a private bath and sink, the shower was on the 2nd floor, part of a full bath, tiled, plenty of hot water. The house was charming, with book-shelves filled with interesting titles. There was a big deck off the dining room, with a gas grill and a lovely, refreshing view. Jane was nice enough to allow us to use the kitchen. We did our shopping at Albertson's, a massive super-market, about a 10-12 minutes' drive toward Jackson. Fabulous food. The house was perfectly clean. We recommend it highly.
Although we weren't fortunate enough to meet Jane, she took care of everything necessary for our visit to her wonderful home. Located in a beautiful setting, we loved being close enough to enjoy Jackson and Grand Teton National Park but out of the crazy crowds of that jam Jackson Hole in the summer. Jane's generosity with the use of her kitchen & living room contributed to a truly memorable visit.
Thank You very Much Jane
Great stay. Nice quiet spot in Wilson which is a short drive to Jackson. I never actually crossed paths with Jane during the stay but she was very communicative and provided us with all we needed. Would stay again!
This is a very nice and quiet home to stay while you are visiting Grand Teton. It is close to the park and Jane is very nice and will give you very helpful suggestions if you want. Thanks.
We had a great time at Jane's place, the location is really nice, close to Jackson, and everything was as described. Thank you !
I really enjoyed my stay at Jane's beautiful mountain home. It was definitely quiet and cosy and offered a great deal of privacy. Her dog and cats were great and I especially liked watching the large group of hummingbirds that frequented her feeder every morning.
Jane was a very gracious host and went out of her way to provide a number of suggestions on places to eat in Jackson and also invited me out for breakfast one morning with some friends of hers that were visiting from Portland. I would definitely stay here again!
