About This Listing
Best location ever. Tranquil little creole cottage condo with everything you need right there. No need for a car, if you'd rather just walk a few blocks to the street car!
The BEST little hip funky condo with a private courtyard right off Magazine Street in the eclectic and cool Irish Channel. We are off the best strip of Magazine with the best food, bars, shopping, antiques... you name it. Walk to Mardi Gras, St. Patrick's Day, Tulane, the St. Charles Street Car wherever!
This is a one bedroom, one bath in a Creole Cottage that used to be slave quarters. The neighborhood is quiet, but just three short blocks to the best of everything.
Comfy bed, comfy pull out sofa, lots of room for hanging out and relaxing between meals, parades, and/or cocktails.
Interaction with Guests
I'm out of town... so I just give the check in and out.
This is the BEST neighborhood in town. 3 blocks to everything. Shopping, eating, Mardi Gras, you name it. Such a sweet and hip area.
Yes! The street car (trolley) is about 5-7 minutes walk. Bus is about 2 minutes. Lots of parking in front of the condo.
Other Things to Note
We just love this place and everyone who stays here does too.
No smoking or pets. Guests staying there should be limited to those paid for (4 max).
DURING JAZZFEST AND MARDI GRAS WE HAVE A 5 NIGHT MINIMUM
The condo is walking distance to several restaurants on Magazine. It's clean and has the basics of what you need for a no-frills stay. The keyless entry, good wifi, and washer/dryer were very convenient. Had very limited communication with Jenny prior to the stay and none during or after. If you're self-sufficient and not particular about hospitality or connecting with your host, you'll do fine here. A rental car will make things a lot easier since most of NOLA's tourist attractions are Downtown and the cottage is Uptown (15-min drive downtown).
This property was exactly what I was looking for - something comfortable away from the quarter. The neighborhood is very walkable, and it's quiet, yet close to great bars/food/shops on Magazine Street. If you walk a couple of blocks and hop the St. Charles streetcar the rest of the city is in easy reach.
The apartment was clean and there was even laundry detergent next to the washer and dryer. Jenny was easy to get in touch with, responded promptly, and it was incredibly simple both arriving and leaving. Those are the facts, and my opinion is that we couldn't have chosen better and we will definitely be back, hopefully often.
