Half a mile from Lake Jocassee is a peaceful hideaway on a private drive. Wake up to birds singing; fall asleep to the sound of crickets and katydids. Enjoy quiet and solitude on a small private deck, then hit the country's most beautiful lake to learn why National Geographic calls the Jocassee Gorges one of "50 of the world's last great places". Waterfalls, wildlife, and the wonder and mystery of Lake Jocassee await you! Then come back to a clean and comfortable 'glamping' experience.

The space
This is a new, clean, spacious camper. The "short" queen bed sleeps two adults comfortably. We have replaced the jacknife sofa with twin recliners. The dinette table can be made up as a bed for a child or two. The kitchen is well-equipped with the basics.

Your hosts, Brooks and Kay Wade, own and operate Jocassee Lake Tours and provide shuttle assistance to the Foothills Trail. We are dedicated to getting kids (of all ages!) off the electronic devices and into the beauty of the Jocassee Gorges eco-region. We love our quiet place in the woods, and we think you will, too!

During your stay

We live next door, and are available in case of emergency. Otherwise, we value our privacy and we will respect yours as well. We are owned by one friendly (fenced) dog who barks a greeting!
