My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Danny's place while we looked for a permanent place in Brooklyn. Danny is super approachable and flexible-- we couldn't give him an exact date we would move out but he never pressured us and was understanding with the difficult NYC real estate market. His place was comfortable had everything we needed-- good internet, Netflix and cooking supplies. Subway and laundry are around the corner, though be care with the wash/fold service... they lost one of my husband's socks! Also we loved the location-- lots of great stuff nearby and really good walking access to the best of Park Slope and Carroll Gardens. Would recommend without hesitation.
This apartment was perfect for us! It's clean, comfortable, quiet, and quite spacious. The kitchen is well-stocked with equipment and provisions. It feels like a home, but there was plenty of space for us to make ourselves at home in it. It's a one-block walk to the subway, and close to lots of great restaurants and shops. We would definitely stay here again.
My partner and I loved staying at Daniel's house. The apartment is very spacious by New York standards, is on a lower level so not too many stairs to walk up and very secure. The apartment has lots of natural light and a pretty outlook onto some trees. Daniel has everything you would need for a comfortable stay, GREAT books, comfy couch, Netflicks, turbo internet etc. The apartment is decorated really tastefully and has a lovely relaxing atmosphere.
Subway is at the end of the block and it's a 5 minute stroll to be in the centre of Park Slope which is a beautiful neighbourhood full of great restaurants, shops and grocery stores. This is a great location for people who want to enjoy Brooklyn and be out of the hustle and bustle of Manhattan. But, should you want to head into Manhattan, it's about half an hour on the subway depending on where you are going.
Daniel was a great host and very easy to communicate with throughout our stay. I would definitely recommend.
Don't forget to eat at Dinosaur BBQ it's amazing!
I rented Daniel's apartment for my parents and they had a wonderful stay in Brooklyn. Daniel left his uncluttered, serene and beautifully decorated space spotlessly clean for them and was fast to respond via text and email.
The space is great - close to the train and trendy restaurants, very quiet and pretty darn spacious for a New York City dwelling!
Even tough we didn't get to meet Danny, he had prepared everything for us, including a guide to his appartment and tips on things to do in the area. The appartment was clean, spacious, well priced and in one of my favourite neighbourhoods in NY, couldn't have been more perfect. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay there! Thanks again, Daniel!
This was my first airbnb experience and although I work in the travel industry and was familiar with the company and offering I was still a little apprehensive.
However, the experience was fantastic from start to finish. Danny the host was new to the site too but prepared for my visit brilliantly. The location was superb, a minute walk to the subway and five minutes from a number of excellent eateries and independent shops. I asked Danny for some recommendations and he came back straight away with a comprehensive selection of places to eat and night spots in the area. Great suggestions!
The trip was so good I even decided to extend the stay and this was no problem. I'd highly recommend Danny's place if you are looking to visit Brooklyn. I loved NYC but the apartment made it, a home from home.
I am a native New Yorker who grew up in Manhattan and has lived in Brooklyn for almost 10 years now. I do a lot of traveling for work - Television production. I am easy going and enjoy traveling/ exploring new places - I would rather be in an apartment in an interesting neighborhood then in a generic hotel with hundreds of other tourists.
