The Space

The "Red Room" has quality furnishings, a wonderful flat screen TV,Bose Radio, Jacuzzi tub and guest parking ( for normal sized car).

Our house is on the National Register of Historic Places and this guest bedroom is a former school room.

There is a shared garden room that is only for the use of our two guest rooms. This garden room has a flat screen TV as well, always a bowl of fresh fruit, and nuts. There is a coffee maker, hot water maker, microwave, toaster.

The Fridge is always supplied with waters & sodas, In the morning we get fresh warm breakfast sandwiches from a local bakery. We keep cereal and tea available.

Interaction with the guests is as much or little as they wish.

The guest room has a hair dryer, shampoos etc.

Guest Access

As much of us as they want. Wi-Fi and beach towels.

Interaction with Guests

As much as they want.

The Neighborhood

I love the "Historic Hill " because of its historic qualities, accessibility to local restaurants and the water taxi to Fort Adams. The Beaches and the Mansions are also very accessible.

Getting around

There is very convenient public transport up and down Bellevue from two streets up as well as a Zip Cars. There is a taxi shuttle from the airport to the Viking Hotel which is a short 2 block walk down to our house.

  • I'm going to let the availability of Robert and Michelle's place dictate the schedule for all of my future trips to Newport. I cannot imagine a more comfortable or more ideally located residence: walk a few blocks in any direction and you'll bump into "the oldest ____________ in the USA." The special magic of this place (where famed portraitist Gilbert Stuart studied as a boy) is exceeded by the hospitality-alchemy practiced by its proprietors.

  • I Planned a nice romantic Valentines/birthday weekend at the Trinity School House.
Michelle & Robert Were absolutely amazing. Leading into the weekend I had a few questions about things to do & places where to eat etc, Michelle was quick with suggestions & all turned out to be great. The Inn Itself was beautiful, very clean & comfortable.

  • This was my first time using AirBnB, and I could not have been more pleased with Michelle & Robert & the Trinity School House. Everything was PERFECT, right down to a parking space at the property held for us for the whole weekend. I want to tell the world how special this place is, and at the same time I want to tell no one, so I can keep it my secret special place in Newport. The location could not have been better either. Lovely, friendly couple who greeted me with a hug and were helpful during a snag in my weekend.

  • We had such a great time! The Drums went above and beyond to accommodate us and their place is lovely. They offer a great B&B experience far beyond the usual AirBnB fare. They stayed up late to meet us on a drive in from NYC, had beers waiting when we got there, and breakfast in the morning. Not to mention our room had its own TV and jacuzzi tub. We were actually too busy to take advantage of all they had to offer. Looking forward to coming back!

  • The accommodations were perfect: lovely rooms with plenty of history, art, and flair; luxurious touches in bedroom & bath; ideal breakfast options. Both Michelle & Robert were very hospitable and thoughtful making this a fun visit to Newport!

  • My boyfriend and I had such a wonderful experience staying at this lovely B&B. It was my first time in Newport, and Bob and Michelle made me feel right at home. It rained a good amount on our first day there, so we decided to stay in and enjoy some tea (there's a box of tea packets in the garden room with quite the variety) since we couldn't make it to the vineyard. Before we got the chance to pick out our tea bags, Michelle came in with a bottle of red wine for us to enjoy. She even brought out cheese and crackers! This amazing gesture was only one of many throughout our visit. We will definitely be back soon! =)

  • Our stay at the Trinity School House was exactly as we hoped it would be. Look up "The Quintessential N.E. B&B landlord" and you will find a picture of Michelle & Bob. Your comfort and enjoyment is their main objective and they succeed in style. The accommodations are homey and relaxing; no detail is missed. The TSH is awash in history and interest. Stop your searching and book this lovely place for a delightful experience in beautiful Newport.

  • Everything about our stay at The Trinity School House was perfection!! The house itself is stunningly and uniquely appointed in very eclectic, artsy, and intriguing ways with exquisite attention to detail. Our room was beautiful and Robert and Michelle have thought of everything you might need to make the stay comfortable and relaxing. They were warm and wonderful hosts and their enthusiasm for Newport, and for sharing their home with others, was obvious. We can't wait to return and will most definitely recommend them to our family and friends.

  • Robert and Michelle were the perfect hosts during our nearly week-long stay @ the Trinity schoolhouse. Their charming historic home is impeccably kept and my now-fiance and I found the red room comfortable, private (there were two sets of guests in the blue room while we were there but we wouldn't have known if we hadn't seen them in the common area), and quite centrally located relative to all of our sailing/biking/beaching/walking tour excursions. They both were very responsive to all of our inquiries regarding check-in times, parking, and local attractions. Highly recommended!
