PALERMO. It’s the Buenos Aires super-barrio that simply can’t be ignored. You probably live there, likely shop there, surely have amigos there, and DEFINITELY go there for brunch and a session on your MacBook ‘doing Spanish homework’ – i.e. updating your (website hidden) status and reading celebrity gossip. It’s ok, you don’t have to deny it! You’re among friends here.
Like its neighbor, Palermo Soho, Palermo Hollywood is all about wining and dining as opposed to sightseeing. But for something different, what about a spot of tango? Palermo Hollywood is home to the well known milonga Práctica X (Humboldt 1464). This milonga is notable for the fact that its patrons are overwhelmingly non-Argentine, which might be a good thing or a bad thing depending on what you’re looking for. It’s a young crowd too. Check their website for exact details, but a preliminary tango class from 9pm to 10:30pm, and a dance from 10:30pm until 3am is standard.
Stretch the boundaries of what you consider to be Palermo Hollywood just a little and you get the opportunity to visit the Mercado de las Pulgas (Niceto Vega 200), which technically is in Colegiales. You won’t see many tourists at this covered market, which sells second-hand (or probably more accurately fourth- or fifth-hand) furniture, something which Buenos Aires has no shortage of. Its rabbits’ warren of stalls are fun to poke around in and offer a glimpse of the city’s opulent past. Open daily from 10am
Only steps away from the main points of public transportation - subway, buses, train and cabs.
Ari was so responsive and helpful. The apartment is very nice. A little small but perfect for my needs. Everything about the experience was easy, and he was very accommodating.
Ari es muy atento, responde rapido cualquier pregunta y esta siempre disponible.
El departatamento es moderno y ideal para dos personas. El barrio tiene su vida nocturna, bares y restaurantes muy buenos. Lo recomendo.
Brilliant flat, good location. Ari was the perfect host and helped. Us with so much!
We had a great stay at Ari's apartment. He was there to greet us when we arrived and was incredibly helpful with suggestions of where to go and what to do! The apartment was in a really useful location for us, we wanted to be near Palermo for the bars and restaurants and we could be in amongst them within a few minutes walk. The apartment had air conditioning which was a huge relief as BA was roasting hot, so the cool apartment was a welcome beak from the hot afternoons! The studio is not far from the subway and off a main road so hailing cabs from the front door was super easy and convenient. Overall, great location and great price! Thanks Ari!x
Ari was excellent from the moment we booked with him. He was in constant communication and provided us with lots of info on the local area and Buenos Aires as a whole. The studio is in a great location and in good condition-we loved having cable TV! Thanks to Ari we had a lovely in BA!
Tudo tornou a viagem ainda melhor.
