Chela and Alma, the cooks were amazing! House was beautiful. Our pool did get quite dirty by the end of the trip

The view from the house was incredible. There were 7 of us who stayed at the house for 6 nights. The pictures were very accurate but the ocean view from the house is more beautiful than pictured. The location was just a 10 minute, $120 (Mexican pesos) taxi ride to old Puerto Vallarta and getting a taxi was as easy as calling the front gate security phone number from the house phone. By far, the highlight of the house was Chela and the other housekeeper who not only cleaned the house every day, but made delicious breakfast, lunch, and margaritas for us every day. All you have to do is tell Chela what you want her to make and she'll go and get the groceries to make the food and drinks and then you pay her after for what she bought. We would often head to the beach after a delicious breakfast and she would prepare lunch for us and leave it for us to heat up and eat when we got back (we sometimes ate it for dinner). Definitely ask her to make guacamole, mole, chilaquiles, fried fish, ceviche, and margaritas. Lastly, don't underestimate the mosquitos at night. Use bug spray! And, if you need pesos in a pinch, the hotel Costa Sur which is a 6 minute walk has an ATM machine in the main lobby on the righthand side. We used this at the end of our trip to settle our grocery bill before heading to the the airport.

My husband and I spent one beautfiul, peaceful week at Javier's villa after our wedding in Puerto Vallarta. It was such a nice change of pace after spending a week at a resort downtown with a large group of people. Javier's place is secluded, romantic and the views are stunning. The private pool is a highlight, and the perfect way to cool down in the hot afternoons. The cooks Challa and Alma were great. It was like Nona's home cooking mexican style. The margaritas they prepared upon request are hands down some of the best in the city, and we spent a lot of time downtown doing research to attest to that ;) Cab service was easily facilitated by the security at the front gate. A taxi downtown cost us about 100pesos each way, which is pretty reasonable! We were never more than 15 minutes away from shopping, nightlife, restaurants, despite the feeling of being so secluded. The entire main floor is open air, and the bedrooms are air conditioned, which was a nice balance of rugged but comfortable. The beach was a bit tricky to find, but the waters in this area are less choppy than other parts of the bay and swimming in the ocean was one of our favorite afternoon passtimes. If you're looking for an unbeatable view, privacy, good food, and comfortable accomodations, then this is the place for you!

We stayed at this beautiful home for a week with my family celebrating my fathers 60th birthday. We had one amazing vacation to remember for ages. Photos shown on the website are impressive and that is why we chose this place but they just don't do it justice. The place is bigger in real life and the view is just mesmerizing. The home was clean and spotless when we arrived and we were greeted with delicious food and drinks as soon as we opened the door. As amazing as this house is the trip wouldn't be the same with out the two lovely ladies Chela and Alma. They cooked some of the best Mexican food we've tasted so far and we've loved in San Diego, LA and NY where we're spoiled with great food. We had one request " authentic Mexican food" and we were in for a treat, Chela and Alma prepared multiple course meals with fresh roasted salsas daily with a smile on their faces, absolute positive and bubbly energy. They shopped for all the food for us, ordered us deserts from local pastry shops, cooked us delicious flan from scratch and poured us some delicious margaritas. We highly recommend this place for an amazing authentic experience. 10 min cab ride away to old town if you want to go out to some restaurant which we did a couple of nights but Chela can cook so take advantage of her skills. You won't be disappointed!
