Interaction with Guests
I try to give my guests privacy and options for being on their own inside or outside of the house. I am happy to chat or help them out with logistics around the town. Mostly, they are happy to be on their own. Lucky the Westie makes friends easily and ingratiates himself to guests who like to scratch a tummy or hand out a treat. For those who prefer a pet free environment, I make sure that Lucky is enclosed in his own area.
I love being at the very end of our small neighborhood in the cul de sac, and I especially like it that my house has the largest garden space that opens out onto the common garden space with badminton and volleyball court.
Walking, biking and buses are alternate forms of transport for those folks who are reducing their carbon footprint. I myself enjoy riding my very cool Vespa Scooter around town and out in the countryside.
Other Things to Note
The neighborhood streets are small and parking is limited but I always leave a place in the driveway for my guests.

Elizabeth was a warm and gracious host who made me feel welcome and comfortable in her beautiful home. She is in an ideal location for visiting Healdsburg whether you are on foot or driving. And her dog Lucky was so much fun! I had a wonderful experience and highly recommend it.
Our stay at Elizabeth's Birdhouse was the icing on the cake to our wonderful weekend in Healdsburg. Elizabeth (and Lucky!) is a lovely host - friendly, thoughtful, respectful of your space and very accommodating. She even offered a lite breakfast each morning, which was far more than we anticipated, but very much appreciated.
The room was very cozy and comfortable, with good space to set aside luggage, unpack and relax. And the overall location was great. In addition to having a beautiful garden and patio area to relax, Elizabeth's Birdhouse is just close enough to the main square in Healdsburg that you can easy reach it by walking.
We would definitely recommend this for anyone traveling through Healdsburg and would gladly stay here again on a future trip!
Elizabeth was such a delight, making sure we had everything we needed. Our room was perfect for our overnight stay. Elizabeth answered all our questions so quickly and we could not have asked for more. Thanks Elizabeth!
I decided to stay with Elizabeth while in town for a 2-day workshop. She does a terrific job making you feel at home. The fridge is stocked full of cold water and OJ.
Elizabeth helped me find places to eat around town and even offered to cook breakfast! The room + private bathroom are great. The area is amazing. The next time I am in the Sonoma area, I'll be sure to book with Elizabeth.
Our stay with Elizabeth was great. She was very friendly and her dog was very sweet! Our room was lovely and clean as was the bathroom. Elizabeth provided a partition so that we had some privacy from the living room, this was nice, although it didn't mask out the "hustle and bustle" noises from the living room in the morning. This didn't bother us however as we were planning on getting up early anyway! We also had out own private entrance, and access to a fridge and microwave. Elizabeth's garden is fantastic, and there is access to the neighbourhood pool which we would have used if the wheat her was a touch warmer. We really enjoyed out stay and would recommend!
A truly amazing place to stay. It was peaceful and absolutely beautiful. Elizabeth made us feel right at home and was super hospitable.
Elizabeth's home was warm and calm, and her property was beautiful. It included some nice bonuses that could only be offered due to location. Elizabeth was engaging and engaged, helped us with some questions about the area, and was respectful of our privacy. I am hoping to return on my next visit to the area!
