Jennifer's place was just as described and pictured! It was such a perfect landing spot for all of our San Francisco adventures. Seriously, it's close to everything: touristy adventures, tons of great restaurants, bars and cocktail spots around every corner. The space is beautiful and spacious, cozy bed, we eat really well! Oh, and a lovely old man kitty named Dapper keeps you company while you're there. Loved it!
This was my third time in SF and the best to date. The apartment was super large and bright (I thought Ieft lights on). Check in was seamless and the bed was quite comfortable. Jennifer had a binder for everything SF which was nice. Her place is within walking distance to so many great places to eat. Four Barrels (coffee) is down the block and where I got my morning fix. I was working most of the week and didn't spend much time in the apartment itself, but it was convenient to most places and just a short ride from SFO and there were plenty of transportation options around.
I read so many reviews of Dapper the cat, but unfortunately he wasn't well during my stay. I hope he gets better. He seemed sweet.
Jennifer was prompt and communicative both before and during our stay. The listing description was pretty accurate, except the part about the cat. While he was friendly and well-tempered, we ended up having to clean up after him on several occasions, and the entire house had an overwhelming odor many times because of that. In short, every room was basically his litter box. Additionally, we found the overall level of cleanliness in the apartment to be very lacking.
The neighborhood was fine. The Mission can be a bit shady at times, and we were definitely harassed by homeless people a few times, but we didn't let those odd interactions sour our overall positive experience. The location is very convenient to public transportation, and there are so many shops and restaurants within a few minutes' walk from Jennifer's place.
Jennifer's house is very comfy, bright, spacious and well located, it has a couple of important streets near where you can find public transport. We didn't spend much time with Jennifer, she was busy, but she let almost all the apartment to ourselves and she was very generous with all she had in the kitchen and the fridge. The bed was super comfortable and in the bedroom we found a lot of information about restaurants and a guide from San Francisco.
We enjoyed our stay. The location was ideal for public transportation that will get you anywhere in this city. In the 4 days we were here we went from one end to San Francisco to other with ease. We got a clipper pass at the 16th st and mission Bart station walgreens for 7 days for 29.00. Which is only a 10 min walk from the flat. It was the deal for sure!
My son and I came with the intention of staying together but Jennifer was very gracious and offered up the other room for him to stay in while we were here. She is around very little but very helpful and friendly and always available by phone or text. You almost feel like you have the whole place to yourself. It's very sunny and bright and very spacious! It's the place to stay especially if you like cats. Dapper the cat is the best!!
The kitchen is very well equipped and has everything you need. We ate out most of the time...who doesn't when in San Fran....but if you feel the need to cook it can be done very easily. Another plus is a brand new Whole Foods is right at the top of the hill...about a 10 min walk.
Thanks again for a great experience in San Fran:)
Jennifer's place is just like the pic. It's bright and easy to get anywhere. I like the introduction for the visitor. It's convenience and sweet. And it's a wonderful thing can use the shared kitchen and the food in the refrigerator.
