About this listing
The room is on the second floor of a modern house, in a quiet part of town. There are good public transportation links to the airport (5 min), Strijp S (5 min), the city center and the train station (10 min). The room has its own bathroom.
Our room is spacious and light. It offers you enough comfort for you to feel immediatly at home. There is an ensuite bathroom with shower, toilet and washbasin. You can make your own coffee and tea and there is a small fridge for your own food and drinks. You can make your own breakfast, or go out and have breakfast at a local restaurant. If you want, for a little extra payment (€5,- per person), we can do your shopping for you and make sure you have everything you need to make yourself a tasty breakfast, in your room.
The room has WiFi. If the weather is nice during your stay, ask us to use our garden (you probably can) and enjoy the sun, and the fish in our pond. You can also use our kitchen, but please ask me before using it.
Interaction with Guests
I live in the house with my husband and son (21). We like our privacy, and will respect yours. The room offers you enough space and comfort, but when our familylife allows it, you will be invited to join us. We speak dutch, english and german, and a little bit french.
Our house is situated in a quiet neighboorhood on the edge of Eindhoven and Veldhoven, on the edge of a park. You can choose to go out and experience either the city-life in Eindhoven, or explore the nature in "De Kempen" with its woods and heathlands.
There is a busstop at 200 meters. Every 5 minutes a bus will come and take you to Eindhoven centre in a short amount of time (10 minutes). There is also a bus that will take you to the airport in only a couple of minutes.
Other Things to Note
In the room there is a comfortable double bed. For an eventual third or fourth guest we can put one or two extra single beds in the room.
Towels and bedlinnen are available in the room.
Our house and garden are non-smoking.
Our stay at Marjan’s house was great, everything really comfortable and clean. Hairdryer is available which saved my life during rainy days. There is also a bottle of wine, stroopwafels and liquorice to welcome you, definitely try it. Warmly recommended!
Thanks for your hospitality and delicious traditional Dutch cookies, and wine. Room was beautiful and cosy :)
Accoglienza calorosa, casa pulitissima e super accessoriata.
It was wonderful staying in Marjan's and Peter's house. The room is very cozy and clean. It has separated bathroom and everything you need for short term staying. Peter met us at home and told us about everything. He was very nice and polite. I will stay here next time in Eindhoven. Definitely recommend!
It's really nice to stay in Marjan and Peter's place as my one night stay in Eindhoven. Peter was an acting member of Airbnb couple years ago and thus he knows how to manage his own hub as a marvelous place to stay. I won't say this place is as luxurious as a 5 stars hotel, but I can't pick up any glitch in the room as I did in some 5 stars hotels. Bed was soft, the wine on table was wonderful. And the toilet was clean as well.
Also the informations regarding Eindhoven they provide definitely makes me think of a second and longer visit to Eindhoven. They even generously put 4 cans of beer as welcoming gifts just because I mentioned to them I would like to have a taste on local beer. Hope I can visit them soon!
About the Host, Marjan
I am 48 and live in Eindhoven with my husband Peter and our 21 year old Son. Our two daughters have recently moved out. I like reading, cooking and baking and a nice glass of wine by the fireplace. My husband and I like to go out and take the dog for a walk in the nearby park, or go a little further away and walk through the woods and heathlands in the neighboorhood. I like to go for a nice short bikeride on my E-bike; my husband goes a little faster and frequently takes his mountainbike or racebike out for longer trips. Eindhoven has a lively inner city with lots of shops, so shopping is also one of my hobby's.
We like to travel and often go away for a weekend or longer, to explore new places, eat new foods and meet new people.
