Perfectly located apartment.
It is quite small, really only being a bedroom and bathroom, but if that is all you need it is perfect.
The location is great as it is close to the main Williamsburg strip and nearby are two subway lines.
My only criticism is that the apartment next door is only separated by a door and the walls are quite thin.
This, however, did not bother us.
We spent three nights at the rooftop. The room is very comfortable.
Susan was very welcoming and reacted promptly when we needed her advice on bars or anythinng else that mattered to us.
The neighnorhood is awesome. So many superb cafés, shops restaurants.
Me and my friend really enjoyed our stay in this great neighborhood near Manhattan. The room was clean, comfortable and affordable. A lot of information about the room and the area was provided. Radiant floor heating was really nice, as was free coffee and wifi. There were double bed blankets in the bed but it wasn't a problem since the bed was large enough for two friends and the blankets were wide, too. Though you could hear the subway it sounded like wind blowing hard so it didn't bother us. I'd say it was very quiet there.
It would've been great if there had been some dish soap and a dish brush because we used the dishes a couple of times. A dining table would've been nice, too, but of course it wouldn't fit there so never mind. ;) Apart from that, I didn't think the room was too small or anything.
I'd stay here again for sure!
We had a fantastic stay at Leslie and Susan's place. The place is small, as advertised, but extremely clean and modern. Great shower and great heating! The doughnuts on arrival were a nice touch. They were very communicable which made check in and check out a smooth process. Finally, a great location - very close to the busy Bedford Avenue as well as to the L and M trains to explore the rest of the city.
This is the perfect spot for exploring a cool and interesting neighbourhood, as well as the rest of Manhattan! Williamsburg has lots to offer and Leslie has made sure to leave a list of things to see and do, as well as places to eat and drink. Communication was excellent, check-in smooth and we would stay again for sure.
My mom and I had a very pleasant stay in Roof-top room in Williamsburg in the beginning of November. The room is clean and tidy with a large comfy bed, a closet, a fridge, WIFI, coffee and tea, a big flatscreen TV and an exquisite and roomy bathroom with several hair dryers. It is safe and private.
Even though the room has a hotel-like feel to it, it’s so much more cozy than any of the NYC hotels I’ve stayed in, and I would pick roof-top room Williamsburg over most NYC hotels. It’s a nice touch that there is a guestbook, guidebooks, maps and menus from local restaurants in the room. As some mentioned here on Airbnb, you need to walk up the stairs to get to the room. We had heavy luggage, but it was no problem getting up the stairs and we got help carrying the luggage down.
The room is located in the heart of Williamsburg and it a good starting point to experience both Williamsburg, the rest of Brooklyn and Manhattan since it's a 10 min. walk to Bedford Ave st. and the L-train. There are lots of great cafés, restaurants and bars in the area and amazing street art.
Susan and Leslie are very easy to communicate with and honest about the room.
I recommend Roof-top room in Williamsburg warmly.
Thank you Susan and Leslie for a great stay!
The Williamsburg Guest House is a fantastic place to stay when you're visiting New York! It's quiet, clean, and cozy. It's close to all of the great atmosphere of Belden Avenue and it's extremely convenient to hop a train to Manhattan. Leslie was very easy to get in touch with and really went the extra mile to make us feel welcome. We loved the doughnuts from Pies and Thighs!
A lovely stay in the heart of Williamsburg... Great, private room with big, comfy bed, fridge and TV, delicious doughnuts on arrival, a terrace with table and chairs and well-equipped bathroom. Lots of local suggestions/ ideas/ contacts supplied too to really make the most of our stay. Much better value than a hotel!
