Interaction with Guests
I usually have limited interaction with guests at check in. Some guests want to be left alone and others who have not been to the area have questions about where to go and what to do and I am happy to answer them in person or via text or email. At times I rent my home while I am away so I handle check in via text. There is always someone nearby who can handle emergencies or answer questions.
Provincetown is safe and beautiful.
You can walk anywhere day or night without concern for your safety and every little side street has homes with cute gardens or history or charm. And the National seashore beaches and bike trails are beautiful and unspoiled.
My home is conveniently located about a ten minute walk to the center of town.
The best transportation is by bicycle which can be rented at several shops nearby.

A.There should be space in the circular drive out front to accommodate 3 cars Be careful not to "stick out" in the street. The town does issue tickets.
B. There is free parking in designated spaces on Aunt Sukey's Way as available
C. Do NOT park in the shared driveway between 6 and 8 Aunt Sukey's Way without speaking with me first. There is limited parking and the driveway must remain accessible to me and my neighbor next door. For special occasions I will try to accommodate additional cars in my spaces out back.
The house was beautiful! Very clean and comfortable. We didn't get a chance to meet Richard but loved our stay. The neighborhood is great and very close to the beach and all of the restaurants and shops!
Although we did not meet Richard in person he was available readily via text or telephone. The house is charming, clean and cozy. The property is perfectly located to visit Provincetown and to explore the shops, cafes, restaurants as well as the beautiful beach and harbour. Great experience!
We really enjoyed the house - it was comfy, quiet, and clean. We never got to meet Richard as he was away. When we had an issue (bedding needed for the futon), and after a single text message he arranged for someone to turn up very promptly indeed.
Our only downer for this stay was the back yard spotlights which stayed on all night, and the flimsy curtains meant that we had a horrible sleep. Check with Richard to see if this has been rectified if you're a light sleeper!
Despite the unanimously positive reviews for the Great Room and Den, to date this has been our most disappointing airbnb experience.
Positive points first: the house is a short walk from the center of town and is in a quiet and secluded area. Richard, the host, seemed like a very nice man and was there to welcome us on arrival. He offered to carry our bags to the room and gave us some excellent suggestions on where to eat and what to do while we were in Provincetown. The roof terrace, hot tub and large upstairs living area are all excellent features.
On the downside: this is a big house and there are a number of other rooms being let out to other people, which isn't obvious from the listing. During our stay there were three sets of guests besides ourselves that we were aware of, possibly more. This isn't necessarily a huge problem, but it felt at times like staying in a youth hostel rather than somebody's home.
The biggest issue for us was privacy. One of the other rooms, which is rented separately, is directly adjacent to the Great Room and is separated only by a curtain and a set of french doors, through which you can hear everything going on on the other side. Our neighbors (luckily) weren't even that rowdy, but we were still able to hear every word they said. To be fair to Richard, the existence of this adjoining room was mentioned in an e-mail and we were given the option to rent it as well, but we decided this would be unnecessary as the Great Room and Den is supposed to sleep six (we were three) and doing so would have effectively doubled the cost of our stay. Had we imagined the noise would be such a problem we would have reconsidered.
The only other major problem was the futons: they were more like campbeds and were so uncomfortable we opted to sleep on the couch instead. There were a few other minor things we were dissatisfied with, but nothing worth mentioning here and nothing that couldn't be improved with a little more attention to detail. The Great Room and Den seems like it would be a good place to rent if you were a crowd of people looking to party, or if there were enough of you to warrant renting the adjoining room too, otherwise - if you require privacy or peace and quiet at night - I would advise against.
Richard is a gentleman and his home is very nice. You do have to share the common living area and bathroom with other guest. Lucky for me the other guest were a lovely French couple. Though they did not speak a lick of English I enjoyed having breakfast with them (which Richard stocked a good amount in his fridge). Though I was by myself and stayed 1 night, the room Is probably suited for a party of 6 for three days or more. However, consider this place if ever in P-Town.
Fantastic house, brilliant location and a great host.
We would happily stay here again.
